*bump*

this is beautiful

it would indeed be an amazing book

Does anyone know if Jerry or any other members in the band had a thumbprint??
I'd love to read more!
I wonder if Kesey ever had one?

Wow, what a great thread...extremely interesting...I hope that all is well for CC and WR and the rest of the posters.

I finally got to try 'cid for the first time recently and thought it was amazing(i hope it was lsd-25 and not an rc, but either way it was amazing and if it wasn't lsd then I can't wait to try an even better psychedelic, though I think it was based on my research)...totally different and more mind expanding than what I was expecting...I can't wait to try it again...except I moved out of the town I got it in a week later so it might be a while...but I know that when the time is right I will find it again.

I don't think I would ever even come close to getting a 'print, but what I can do is spread the word...I kind of liken the rise of the psychedelic world to the rise of Christianity...at first it was weird and not accepted and even illegal(the people killed Jesus)...and then slowly the word spread and 2000 years later, it is extremely accepted(not that i am Christian(though raised catholic), but a lot of the basic ideas are really good(and similar to some of the ideas in hippiedom like peace and love and goodwill towards others), but are forgotten by most people)...maybe the same will happen to LSD, we shall see. For now, all we can do is continue to spread the word and correct false propaganda when people spout that information.

I want to turn more people on, but I am always afraid that I will mess someone up for life(i.e. tripping forever(i am pretty sure this is BS), becoming schizophrenic or having bad flashbacks...i know bad trips aren't a worry cuz they are short term and can be dealt with easily)...i believe that these risks are minimal, but they are always the first thing my friends talk about when i mention it and I want to be able to give them cold hard facts...does anyone know how much worry I should have to worry(obviously I would only give it to people that were really interested). I just don't want to be the one to screw someone else up. For now, all i can do is spread my knowledge and experiences and let them make up their own minds I guess. Not like I have any to give away anyway.

One other question. CC mentioned (briefly) that he still sees visuals but has gotten completely used to it, does that mean he sees visuals all the time but it no longer affects him...or is it more of a random occurrence...perhaps if cc doesn't answer this, maybe someone else can enlighten me.

One other q(i hope these get answered, it seems like cc doesn't post much here anymore) does anyone know if cc finished his studies or is still working towards them? I hope so, sounds like he has a lot to offer the psychedelic world, if he gets to do his research. I hope he is healthy, sounded like he had some health problems.

Anyway, hope all is well with all and thanks again, cc and wr, for sharing this amazing story.

Peace

We need to put the signal out for him. He's been gone too long.

I also enjoyed my exchanges with Chinacat and miss him.
I'm moving up to Oregon where I'll be very close to the remaining memeber of the circle of love.

Who knows, maybe I'll even meet a few at the fair?

I'd like to carry on the "mission", folks. Many of you may have read it in many of my posts.

I'm short on money right now, but when I had some, I was really trying to score a sheet or two(I know, small time) - to simply drive around and plant doses all over the place. To give them away for free and have a bunch of people, in a bunch of cities, tripping together.

The mission still lives, though my money is tight now. Hopefully, within a year or so - it will get better. By then, hopefully, I'll have a connection for it that's solid and not flaky like the rest.

Until then, we read and relive and dream.

We're one big pile of goofy love, folks.

this thread gets a 10/10. It was the main reason I just signed in this forum.. I read it all yesterday, so great read

chinacat and WR, you guys have lived exceptional stories.. Congratulations!

btw, if you are both still active (dont know if you also tried dmt, WR)

as someone asked: How do you compare a full blown dmt trip with a thumbprint?

and also, maybe a bit off topic: What books do you guys recommend in general, that portray something of what you guys lived?

Im so interested in all these stories.. please tell us more

Your question reminded me of the book It's Here Now (Are You?) by a dude named Bhagavan Das. He lived the life of a Sadhu renunciate in india for 6 years basically meditating all day. he met up with richard alpert the famous LSD pundit and in his book he talks all about his exploration with mind expanding compounds. he lived with indian peyote shamans and took lsd with chogyam trungpa and he tells a funny but slightly sad story about this girl who took amanitas and went on a psychotic rampage among a bunch of straight high society types at a pool party but ended up in the loony bin.
also check out Phil Lesh and Rock Scully's autobiographies for stories of the grateful dead tripping.
