i'm about to buy a coolmist and run that bitch 24/7, shits getting strange! 15 hours of the day the shrooms are in darkness, the other hours are under a 6500k daylight lamp.
what could possibly be the problem for my small fruits/low pinset?
here is what i mist my tub with about 4 times a day.
i'm about to put the polyfill back in for added RH, its troubling me with these immature fruits/pins! the room i also keep my tub in during the 15 hours doesn't have a small oscillating fan or anything to that sort. only the for the extra hours do i run a small fan..
any suggestions?

fresh air should always be getting to your substrate during fruiting conditions. fresh air exchange is as important or even more important than rh to initiate pinning.

also after you mist are you fanning?
with Multi-Spore, its a crap shoot with genetic's and you can get horrible pinsets, or you might get lucky and get really good pinsets
as well with small mushrooms, it could be genetic's, it could be your substrate is too wet, or it could be your substrate is too dry
but your sub doesn't look fully colonized at all, and that will cause smaller production as well..
here is my setup during my 'direct light' hours. this was before, when i added the polyfill. i took it out about a day ago i believe.
hrmmm. well i am not directly fanning it, just fanning it semi with the 'mister fan' . i suppose it is not something i take great value into. yeah i waited for a longggg time for it to colonize, i also didn't break up the sub very well when i added it to the verm/coir. at all, i suppose this would be the reason for the so called 'blotchy' colonization.
when i mist i want to make sure my fruits always have drops of water on top of them. it would be very hard for me to imagine that my sub is too dry! i mist the hell outta that guy when i go at it. i suppose i need to pull more attention to fresh air throughout those 15 hours huh?

yeah they have been removed for a day or so. my tub has also been in fruiting conditions for about 3 days now. just put my tub in a room with the ceiling fan on high. i'll leave it here for 2 hours or so, and see what happens.

exposed to 3 hours of high celing fan. much much much fae fae fae fae. alot of improvement noted..
what do you guys think? i'm hoping for at least <2 ounces of dry! plausible?

4 quarts of substrate and hopefully i get at least an ounce+ outta this!
i guess a noob learns from his mistakes! FAE, is what i fucked up on.
i'll see what transpires tomorrow morning, the daylight is on the sub right now.
if you were me, what would you concentrate most on to get a higher yield?

to almostm guarentee a great yeild, each time you're going to have to learn cloning and isolating...you can do everything perfect and still get horrible flushes with multi-spore..
I just do my normal routine, and if its a good flush then hell yeah, if its a crappy one then on well better luck next time lol.

could you explain a bit more? cloning/isolating/MS?
lol, i guess its the luck of the draw. i would've thought that this beautiful FL weather would've brought great humidity. i guess live & you learn i shitted on my mycelium, when i didn't provide enough fae i guess. next time i'll start with half brick of coir/verm and 2 quarts of substrate, in a smaller gallon rubbermaid.

MS is multi spore, which is what you get when you order a spore syringe, or print
cloning and isolating, is just exactly what it sounds, taking a fruit that you like, and taking a section of it and growing it out, isolating the best characters
and yes it is luck of the draw until you et into isolating.

yeah see the thing is. my friend started me off with a fully colonized jar and a random syringe as well as, hand written all of the steps up until the monotub.
i fucked up the WBS(burnt) the first time with the G2G. then tried and the inoculation with the syringe, and was 100%! ...and here i am. help from the shroomery only
would you mind pm'ing some links(isolating/cloning)? i am about to print RR's notes, and just read everything, since most books these days on mushrooms are outdated.

edit: nvm, sorry. looks like I took out the cloning tek.
basically, you want to cut a piece of the shroom you want to clone from inside the cap but not into the gills or else you will get spores. alternatively, you can cut from inside the stem. either way, do so before the cap expands and starts dropping spores.
you can put that piece on agar, grain, LC... pretty sure they will all work.
if using agar, you can isolate using agar to agar transfers by selecting an appropriate sector.
all that stuff is new to me... this is all based on what I've read, so hopefully some pros will chime in on this one. biologys knows what's up.
