Senate Passes Medical Marijuana Repeal

BILLINGS - A bill to repeal Montana's medical marijuana law appears to
be headed to the Governor's desk.
Thursday, the Montana Senate approved the measure, almost along party
lines, on a vote of 29-21. The bill faces a third and final vote Friday
in the Senate, but there will be no debate as it is a procedural vote.
Montana voters overwhelmingly approved the medical marijuana initiative
that became law in 2004. Since then, the industry has boomed and cities
and law enforcement agencies have struggled with how to regulate it.
The Senate also approved a regulation bill Thursday that would not
repeal the law, but would enact strict guidelines like an end to all
store fronts and growers would have to form a nonprofit to sell the
drug. That bill goes to the House.

yes yes there live saving drugs that kill more americans every year than alchol and tabocco combined dont hurt big pharma they care about us
What are you talking about??? Medication mistakes cost about one hundred thousand lives each year while smoking kills around half a million, just in America. Maybe you have a different source, and if you do, I would love to see it. I don't love Big Pharmacy, but without them, we wouldn't have vaccines against a whole range of diseases. Sure they make money off their products, but if you actually knew how much it costs to produce a drug, as well as get it through the rigorous safety standards, you would see why it is a for profit business.
