Police Shoot Vicious Dog; It Runs Home To Pot Grow
Owner Jailed; Wounded Dog Being Treated By Vet
MURRIETA, Calif. -- A policeman shot a vicious dog roaming a Southern California neighborhood, then followed the wounded animal to the owner's marijuana growing and selling operation.
Murrieta police investigators on Thursday arrested 25-year-old Justin Shaun Armstrong for investigation of cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale. Armstrong is in jail with bail set at $25,000.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says officers responding to a report of a loose pit bull found it attacking a leashed dog. An officer tried to control the aggressive dog and it tried to bite him.
The officer shot the dog in the head and it ran to a nearby home, where the pot operation was discovered.
The wounded dog resembles a pit bull but is actually an Argentine Dogo. It's being treated by a veterinarian.

More ridiculousness.
Glad to hear the dog is still alive.
I could easily man-handle one dog (I don't care what breed it is) without a taser; give me a taser and the dog has no chance.
/facepalm @ shooting a dog.
Also, police officers ubiquitously own pepper spray containers. Postal employees and SPCA folk who deal with way more dog encounters never have firearms and usually get their job done without any hassle, sometimes minimal hassle.

I believe him. I wouldn't put a animal ~1/3 weight of a human on a pedestal, just one on one. My cousin recently got attacked by a decent size dog and he broke it's neck - he is only 150 pounds.

Try taking on a Bullmastiff:

But yeah, I'm sure those cops needed to shoot the dog in the head... fuckers. And I wonder how legitimate their discovery of this grow house was..

If this is true, its only cause many humans don't know how to deal with dogs. If they stood their ground, the odds would be in their favor every time. I doubt many dogs would even engage someone who they felt wouldn't take any shit.

i was attacked by a dog and kicked it hard as fuck in the face and it yelped and walked off. I wonder if this guy even tried anything else. He might be a fat ass though and really did have to defend himself this way

Lol, a bit extreme? Just looking menacing and not breaking eye contact would provide results in many cases.
