i cant tell if these jars are contaminated or not, at first i thought it was metabolites but it just looks so nasty in one jar i had to post for some opinions. i've already fruited one jar with the same yellow stuff at the bottom ndt so far it seem to be going fine.
a few jars look like this at the bottom

this is the same jar from a different angle

this is the jar im worried about, it has the same stuff in it just much more.

Looks like excess moisture. It might just be a stew of excess moisture. I'd say the smell test is the way to go. How old are the jars?

their prob about a month old, i could have fruited them about a week ago but i had to go away and couldn't tend to them. i have been keeping them in a big rubbermade container, could this be the problem? should i just start keeping my jars on the shelf?

Most definitely a bacterial contamination. That second jar is toast for sure, just toss it out.
I doubt the first jar will survive being broken up and spawned either, but you can wait and see if it'll colonize. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Im no contam expert but i had a jar just like that and assumed it was bacillus contamination. Chances are you will not get it to fruit. And deffo dont spawn to bulk. I just took my jars into my garden and buried them into some soil/compost just for shits and giggles. Anyways my advice for you would be the same and best start over again.

so i attempted to fruit a few jars that some of which looked like the first one i posted in my new martha. i had problems getting the humidity right because of timers and the cakes wound up getting pretty wet. At one point i had to go somewhere for a week and i fucked up my coolmist so i just threw the one test tray i had going in a shotgun FC right when it was beginning to pin and bounced. when i got back i had a nice looking crop, a little overgrown but thats because i was away for a week. now its not flushing so well.
so i get back and throw the other 4 trays i have which look beautifully covered in white myc. into my martha. i still hadn't gotten the timing for the ultrasonic down yet but i wanted to fruit those trays, they were long overdue. anyway i throw the 4 trays into the martha for a week, they look fine for about 5 days except water keeps collecting on them. I started noticing some stange white growth that def wasb't mycelium, in the next day or two it turned into green ellowish spots and i knew i had mold so i chucked the cakes.
how do i go about cleaning my martha to prevent further contam?
