If you're delerious for three days after taking Datura then you've taken way too much. I've gotten good results by mixing small amounts of Stramonium with weed to generate a visionary state; check my journal for a trip report.

Yeah dude, I used to use inoxia seeds as a dream/sleep aid and I'd also use the leaves as a weed additive as well. It also brought about this.. odd sort of tranquility. Like emptiness around me, but not melancholic emptiness. It's hard to explain.
I read somewhere that tripping on datura is very much like dreaming awake, and someone had theorized that if you were adept at lucid dreaming that one could 'control' the datura state. If it didn't make my fucking throat feel like the Sahara desert I'd love to meditate on a high dose of datura in the dark, and I'm not even joking.
Of course I'd probably be broken, shattered and dissolved before I could ever think of controlling datura or working alongside the dark temptress without succumbing to it.

Im the most adept at lucid dreaming of anyone Ive ever spoken to about it. I can summon people, manifest objects, manifest drugs, fly, float, shapeshift, shoot lightening and make castles grow out of the ground.
Maybe Datura is for me afterall.

Good shit man. I'm still trying to get lucid dreaming down and I wholeheartedly believe the WILD's exist to PISS ME THE FUCK OFF 
I'd like to hear how long it took you to become proficient at LDing and what methods you went about to attaining it. Also if you used any aids?
And yes it would be awesome if you could put that theory into practice. The datura intoxication comes on out of nowhere... you don't even realize you are delerious. If one could realize "Hey... I'm dreaming" much like in a dream while the datura is taking effect and the hallucinations are occuring... that would be a desired state indeed. Hell try to access the Akashic Records in that state while you're at it!

Ive been able to get lucid to the point to where I KNEW it was a dream for as long as I can remember. This started happening to me when I was a little kid.
I first became able to manipulate the environment and step outside of the script at around the age of 18 when I first ingested amanita muscaria mushrooms. I ingested about half an ounce of dried amanita caps and about half an 8th of dried psilocybe cubensis. I instantly felt very tired so I went to lay down on the couch. I drifted right to sleep and came to in my back yard. I had the familiar feeling of knowing I was in a dream but something was different....no script was playing out...I was just standing there by myself doing nothing.
First I made it snow...then I made mushrooms grow out of the snow and I turned the sky purple. Next I tweaked the gravity...I jumped and it was like moon gravity...I could jump 30 feet in the air. Then I tried to get to the house of the girl I had a crush on at the time but to no avail...I found that if i did not believe in what I was about to do 100% it just wouldnt happen.
Over time I honed this skill and ever since that day Ive needed NO aid to alter the dream world. Ive been pretty much drug free for the past 6 months and still can fly/float/shapeshift/manifest/etc. Currently my test to figure out whether or not Im in a dream is to make myself lighter than the air around me and see if I float.

That sounds so fucking awesome. My lucid dreams are very random, and they are vivid, though I have very few times ever went "Hey.. I'm dreaming" and started getting excited.
I think you unlocked something when you ate those amanitas + psilocybes then slept.
... I may just do the same.
