Find me in the backyard, sailing my kettle. Playing poker with insects, wearing a cup of tea. A hat of brimstone, yellow-crimson, looking like a giant flea. Forever my friend: so my energy this day I lend, I practice faking it to pretend, and become the actor in the end. My folly hangs on the trees like leaves and drips in the falling breeze, the tock of a minute here shakes me to my knees.

Oh please, the greatest quote is clearly:
Quote:
-------------------- "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

There is nothing you can do to help you realise your nature.
But if all of creation arose from nothing, what is the power of nothing?

Refraining from all evil, not clinging to birth and death, working in deep compassion for all sentient beings, respecting those over you and pitying those below you, without any detesting or desiring, worrying or lamentation - this is what is called Buddha. Do not search beyond it. - Dōgen

Intention is everything. Have the intention of having your nature revealed to you, do not wish or try and think in a certain way, merely have the pure intention. You do not have to do anything. It will happen.

Really its the greatest spiritual quotation. Our contribution is not mandatory for any changes in society or nature. What is already decided by nature it will happen on time nobody can change it.

I've been hearing this mentioned a few times at my group meditation sits. "Where you point the bow, the ship will follow." "Energy follows intention." I also heard a talk on the Gita a while back that I horribly paraphrase as "What you put in, you get out"
So wherever you put your intention, where you point the direction of your life that's where is going to go, simple as that.
-------------------- "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

Confuse yourself so much that you spontaneously combust.
-------------------- "So man's insanity is heaven's sense; and wandering from all mortal reason, man comes at last to that celestial thought, which, to reason, is absurd and frantic; and weal or woe, feels then uncompromised, indifferent as his God." - Herman Melville

Confuse yourself so much that you give up would probably be a lot more accurate but not half as epic.
Before enlightenment do as little as possible and take lots of drugs after enlightenment do as little as possible and take lots of drugs (+ run the streets at night while taking the drugs)
