Uncased Monotub from Substrate Bags
    #14016811 - 02/23/11 09:05 PM (1 year, 3 months ago)

Alright so I am fruiting my first uncased monotub using rye in substrate bags. I will need to break up the substrate because I didn't spawn to the tub itself.

My question is when I break up the substrate and put it into the tub will it still fruit alright because the mycelium network will rebuild and tighten up while I wait for it to pin, allowing it to hold the heavy fruits or am I going to have to case it because I didn't spawn to the tub?

Break up the rye and spawn it to a bulk substrate like coir or poo etc (plenty of teks on the site)

Then you let it sit with filtered air and away from fruiting conditions while the myc rebuilds.

Once the bulk tub has been fully colonized (like bag did) then introduce to fruiting and you'll be ok

Thanks for the response but I am curious if doing it this way simply won't work and I HAVE to spawn or case. I kinda wanted to test this out but not if it's totally pointless, ya know?
