i've seen too many bad movie versions of king stories.]
Yeah, there have been some stinkers (like The Shining... Kubrick's worst ever film in my opinion) but some have been great. Carrie, Stand by Me (GREAT movie), The Shawshank Redemption, The Dead Zone, Misery, Dolores Claiborne, Cujo, Hearts in Atlantis -- I am stuck in a third world country with almost no movie theaters nearby so there are undoubtedly other good ones I have missed. I think that on the whole, there are probably more GOOD King movies than bad ones.
I haven't seen the miniseries they made of The Stand. Was it any good? The book was wonderful.

I thought The Stand mini series was quite good. I ended up picking it up on DVD. I thought it was very well made. There were some great actors in that too. Matt Frewer as Trashcan man was excellent -Bruiser

Desperation was pretty good. I think I read it in about 4or 5 days, so it must've kept my attention.
