Sorry for the thread jack but heres some pics of my LM jars. First one I think has bac. second looks of just that its pinnin in the jar. think I've heard bout this before. Is it ok to g2g or spawn a bag with?

Lion's mane always wants to pin on the grain. It tends to be very very light and then it kinds of thickens up in spots. Hard to tell from the pics if there's bacteria. If there are wet spots that are spreading that's the sure sign. The pics mostly seem normal.

Oh mate that blows, could you not wash the green off?. Ive never used wood chips, i dont think i ever will, one more thing the prepare (lazy). I use this now http://www.burnswood.com/burnease-c-72_77.html. You use £1 worth per bag if you get 30 kg, thats not too bad.

yeah IM through with the woodchips on the 75, all my other cultures no problem like the b and q chips the Kings and LM, but the 75 is fussy. Got lots of pure straw and 75/25 sawdust/straw bags on the go now.
I use similar briquettes i picked up 5 sacks for free last year, mine were rejects from the brick machine that they just bought, packed too loosely so were a freebie, break up real nice and easy...
How you breaking them up? getting them wet 1st? Cheers for that link noted.
I can get them local not sure what they charging for 'em, but will sharp find out when i run out.
I chucked the old 75 bricks at the bottom of my garden to se if they put out when it warms up. Doubt it tho they were mingin smell like granda's slippas.

They will break up by hand into 1-2 cm thick disks, then I weigh a kilo and hydrate with ~1 L of boiling water. I'll probably chucka block or two outdoors in spring Im confident they will fruit.
