Oh and I used liquid soap mixed with water in a big pot for the perlite and just put it in there. Then from there into the strainer and under the faucet. Smells nice and fresh haha. I'll have a pic in a minute.
While I was at it I cleaned out a humidifier to. So ill have that running in the same room that the shotguns in just cause its winter and its so dry and ughhh.

Ok so here's what it looks like, some broke off so I cleaned a bowl good and voila.
Will this be ok?
Heres what it all pretty much looks like close up, I think its colonized enough
Lights going down each side. Wish I could put it long ways though but this should be ok.
Will this work?

looks great. it will probably work if you got 1/4" holes 2" apart on all six sides.
only thing i'd worry about is those lights heating up your terrarium and fudgin with your humidity.
but thats of minimal concern until you've established it as the problem.
if there even is a problem

It seems like it was still hydrated well. What kind of maintenance should I be doing, will I need to mist or fan or anything or not really or just check the humidity every now and then or something.
Oh and I have a humidifier running in the room since the air is dry. Should help with keeping the shotguns humidity up.

It looks like just from being introduced to fresh air overnight now all the mycelium that was on it is gaining strength. I checked to make sure it smells right and it does. I'm gonna try not to mess with it for a couple days and check it out
