thats like saying "i want a car that can hold gas."
youll just need to encode the video to a format that the phone will be able to understand. an 8gb microSD should be around $10. if you are trying to play an 8gb video file on a phone you are doing it wrong.

what kind of "memory problems" do you currently experience while watching full length movies on youtube on your phone?

The issue is probably more dependent on your signal strength and data connection than anything else.
You'll pay for it, but you might want to look into a 4g phone.
Other than that, pretty much any modern smart phone can get youtube. My more than year old 3g HTC hero runs it just fine.

the Palm TX is a 6 year old PDA (not a phone) with only 128mb of storage space and can only use sd cards up to 2gb. the OS only supports FAT16. it doesnt surprise me that you cant store anything on there..
pretty much any modern smartphone will have a MINIMUM 2gb of storage. you can easily upgrade to 48gb if you really wanted to..

I love my Iphone 4. It took me a long time to decide between the iphone and android but I'm very happy with the choice I made. Granted, having to jailbreak your phone to get the best functionality is pretty lame but since doing it I love the phone. I can control the receivers, use a firewall, still make it a WiFi hotspot and do many other things.
My cousin was in town this past weekend showing me his new $300 GPS for his car and I showed him the GPS app on my iphone and he felt like a moron. I use it for pretty much everything now and regardless of what phone you end up going with I think all carriers cap the amount of data usage you get each month... perhaps some Verizon people were grandfathered into the unlimited but I thought I heard that only lasts as long as their contracts.
I have 2 gigs a month and never come near the max of that and I use the internet all the time. Obviously for movies you'd want to have wifi to download them since you'd eat up all your data in no time. I use my iphone as a wireless mouse as well to control the computer that's hooked to my HDMI on my flat screen TV to control itunes or anything on the PC for that matter. You can also get almost any app for free as a cracked version when jailbreaking.

First off it would depend on what kind of service you wanted to get. I would highly recommend T-Mobile and their flex pay accounts. You pay for the phone outright but you make up for it wlfor tthe plan you get. 60 a month gets you unlimited texting, data (4g baby - hspa + ), and 500 minutes with free nights and weekend. Wont find a plan like that on att or Verizon. Not to mention no credit checks and no contracts. And ya metro is cheap but their service and speeds are super lame. I get up to 1.5 megs a second. Not to mention GSM offers way more flexibility then CDMA technology.
As for the phone it really depends on the provider you have. I would highly suggest something android operated. That's where all the developers are flocking, its highly customizable. Plus I'm not sure if you can do this on iOS but you can root android devices and tether your internet for free, and also install custom roms so you don't have to wait for official releases. The freedom you have with android is refreshing. Also - Widgets!
Some specs to look for, your gonna want at least 512megs of memory and a 1ghz processor. Front facing camera is nice. At least a 3.7 inch screen.
I have the mytouch 4g with has the second Gen snapdragon 1ghz processor, 768 megs of ram, a front facing camera and a normal camera with 5 megapixels and records movies in 720p. There are some quirks in the UI but nothing installing a custom rom can't fix. Anddd its permarooted which ads even more flexibility.
Hope that helped.
