Yeh, a friend of mine swears by it shroomologist. Funny that you brought it up because he has been using it for quite some time now. It was really a way to prolong cakes/flatcakes for more flushes when wbs is added to the mix.
He would steep the wbs for 20 mins low boil until the kernels were just about to pop open. Using 12 cups coarse verm, 6 cups brf, and about a cup and a half or two cups of wbs, he would make that mixture into 24 jars. It's a basic recipe that is worth a try for anyone with some spare time to experiment.

now that's good to hear, as i've just inoculated some jars a la Ryche Hawk not ten minutes ago! there were more ingredients though: finch seed, brf, verm, ground linseed, water. sourced here at the shroomery. i'm gonna try alien's substrate next!
