i agree with that.
phish fanatics can be very annoying assholes sometimes.
As far as the "frat boys" thing goes...don't you guys see that your caterorizing a whole group of people and shutting them out? I'd expect a better outlook from mushroom takers. I was at the show with a few guys you'd probably label as frat boys...what they actually were is huge phans that have to work real jobs and can't afford to look like a homeless person....So that's a diffewrent way to look at it, and besides i like when there's a big variety of people at the shows. I love to see some evil gothic looking manson chick dancing around and having a blast at a phish show, whats wrong with that? the whole hippy scene is kind of geared towards openess, right?
If you can't handle the fact that phish is good music and that many types of people like it and like their shows, and that not all of them are going look like hippies...then well..heheheh tough shit, get over it.
As far as the drug thing goes, i understand how negative it can be to have all these dumbasses that dont like the band running around trying to buy all the drugs. Check this out though, I have a friend that came to a phish show with me once just because he wanted to get good drugs. I didn't mind cuz hes my friend and all. He didnt understand at all about phish and why i like them, then he saw them play and was blown away! Now he loves phish and goes to the shows to see good music.
BTW greensboro was an amazing show IMO. I'm listening to it right now i really hope they do a summer tour. Getting tickets will be a bitch though Oh well...

They Had hair down there long before i stopped playing with dolls. I haven't masterbated in months because i've lost my imagination. I close my eyes and i see my father, little girls, german shephards, and tv news commentators; but no voluptuos, pouty lipped, naked female sex kittens wincing in ecstacy from the illusory positions i've conjured up in my mind. No, when i close my eyes i see lizards and flipper babies. The ones born deformed because their mothers took bad birth control pills. I'm seriously afraid to touch myself.

Exactly I couldn't agree more.
I hope I'm not coming off as one of those elitist cult fans because those are the ones who annoy me the most, I haven't been around that scene near long enough to br excepted, most of them think of me as a custy I'm sure.

wanna trade greensboro for the denver show?
I have an extra laying around if you want to do it, I'd love a copy of that show.• 02/18/03 - Pepsi Arena, Denver, CO
1: Runaway Jim, Water in the Sky, Twist Around, Squirming Coil, Brian and Robert, Stash, The Wedge, Birds of a Feather, Lawn Boy*, Walls of the Cave 2: Moma Dance, Limb by Limb, Thunderhead, Divided Sky, Carini**, You Enjoy Myself*** E: NICU, Mexican Cousin
Notes: * - Page had problems removing microphone at the start of the song and then had a problem uncoiling the mic; during Mike's bass solo, Page walked around and finished the song using Trey's vocal mic; ** - with start/stop jamming; *** - vocal jam ended with a short rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight

It's - "The tires are the things on your car that make contact with the road..." Dr. Slavic.
And fee... it's "Well the telephone was ringin... so I handed it to Liz... she said this isn't who it would be, if it wasn't who it is." Also, what do you mean the scene in 2000 was better? No way in hell. The scene went to shit after the legendary year of 1997. Tour rats, frat boys, and basically all your average scumbags started showing up. 2000 was jus ridicuously out of control and absurd scenewise, and the music was horrible. This past tour was off the hook on some nights (Vegas, Denver, Cincy, Worcester, Nassau, Greensboro) or total shit the other nights (Jersey, Philly, etc). The band is still working on their sound. Everyone has explored different musical territories since the hiatus began, and they have to learn each other's sound over again. Give it time and I guarantee we're gonna see an insanely good summer tour (with another festival ala Lemonwheel taboot).
Now everyone go see the Disco Biscuits.
