Does dose matter when it comes to bad trips?

I'm expecting some Atlantis truffles soon which you have to get 7-10gr of for a "low-to-med" trip, but I've heard people who tripped BALLS on it yet some who tripped very little.

I guess I'm just worried I'll have a bad trip that'll haunt me. Its going to be my first psychedellic trip and I think its the most important one, so I don't want to trip mega balls, but also not buzzy from a little dose.
