Casing/inoculating jars outside

Hey! I was thinking to do sterile work in my bathroom, but then the though struck me that it should be alot more sterile outside? Of course its not a good idea in the summertime, but here its under the freezing point. Everything is covered in ice and snow, so I guess its very little bacterias and spores floating around in the air? At least alot less than inside where its right temp for mold and bacterias?

if you are having contam problems this isnt the way to fix it.

but will it work? probly.

I agree with koolaid that it's not the way to fix the problem at hand, but It does work better if your having those problems to do it outside. I had a huge problem withh it when I startred out because I keep my contaminated substrates laying aroun.

I have since Stopped that practice, sucrbbed and painted everthing, had my ducts cleaned and run my flowhood when spawning.

Doing procedures outside in the winter worked well for me in those days.

On a side note koolaid, you posted some advice on an isolate for me a few days ago.I took your advice and you were absolutly correct about me needing to transfer more..

would'nt many of your contams come from you? clothes, hair, skin, breath etc? just a thought. :stoned:

Sure, but thats why you take step to elimnate those chances..i.e shower, change into freashly laundered clothes wear a mask use Iso Alchohal....etc

Yeah, I was thinking that, but my logic is that inside enviroment with contams everywhere + contams from body is much worse than sterile enviroment + contams from body.

And I dont have problems with contams yet, I think. But still and god idea to case in sterile enviroment.
