Strange growths on cakes... PICTURES INCLUDED

Hello, everybody!
These cakes had been colonizing for a month. Some of them had fully colonized before others because a newbie had not measured the injections thoroughly and began to run out of solution towards the last few jars.
They were birthed tonight and appeared rather dry. In addition, these "growths" were discovered:

Like I said, some of these jars stayed shut for up to a week after they should have been birthed, since they completed at different times and the grower wanted to birth them all at once. Are these the start of mushrooms? Or some kind of weird, wild mold?
It's a scary thing. Good news would be appreciated Thanks!
EDIT: I wanted to add that when these were birthed tonight, all of the cakes had that nice, clean mushroom smell and there were no foul odors detected.

those cakes look fine, some of the bumps appear to be pins that have been squashed against the glass jar. Sometime lumpy looking growths also result when the cakes have not fully colonized it is better to let the cakes sit for a week or two after the mycelium has grown throughout the visible part of the jar as sometime the center is still being colonized and the mycelium needs time to start digesting the substrate.

Oh, man, I love you! Thank you so much for that sigh of relief.
So, you think it was still a bit too soon to birth these babies? I've seen some cakes that were pure white. Mine seem to be a bit splotchy, but I figure if they were already starting to pin, that it was time?
