wtf is on my casing?

So, this is P. Galindoi on rye cased with pasteurized sphagnum/peat/verm/gypsum. Now, the past couple of days this white cottony growth has started expanding and it grows noticeably hour to hour.

I feel like it might be contamination from the growth rate, but it looks like it could be a part of the galindoi's mycelium because it looks somewhat like overlay, perhaps forming stones on the surface...
Thoughts?

My guess is cobweb mold unless that's just tendrils poking through to the surface. I don't have experience with that species, but I haven't seen any myc grow that fast-noticeably hour by hour

either , cobweb, mycelium , or trich ,
now, it looks like week mycelium , and some mycelium , i dont know the same , but its rubbery and doesent fruit , i got a whole petri dish full lol
so if it doesent turn green in a few days , and it gets more white, then its mycelium play the waiting game , or wait for sunstone to come by

It will turn green if not already. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, maybe some stones in there? Hopefully not a complete loss.

You know, after a second glance that most definetly could be mycelium. It was just the speed of growth that I made a judgement too quick. That looks very similar to my tamp and mex mycelium so it may still be safe.

Don't matter. Don't matter. Don't matter. My spawn was completely fine. I cased it approx 10-14 days ago. There's not smell. No sporulation. The casing is producing stones. The white spots have not spread to the other casings in the same FC.

It reminds me of one of the casings Cervantes had in the archive... It definitely looks like it has the makings of stromata though...

Way to dense to be cobweb. Looks like mycelium. 90% sure you're fine.

The thick white blob on the left side looks like trich. Either immediately toss it or put this in a couple zip lock bags and outside of your grow area. Do not let it release spores inside your grow area! I made that mistake once.

how you inoculate does matter.
he was trying to find your contamination vector. if it is indeed contaminated.
how long it has been colonizing is another indicator of how well your substrate is doing.

Okay, I'm saying it's not trich, 100% not trich. Under that premise, answer accordingly lol....
Contam maybe, trich no...Quote:

I know he was, but it was irrelevant.
If anything he should have asked about the casing... Especially considering as it would be retarded to spawn a jar that already was contaminated...
How I inoculate didn't matter. My LC is clean. My spawn is clean. lol...
I'm telling you the issue has nothing to do with the spawn, now you can accept it, or keep lingering pointlessly...
And it was stromata btw...

That sounded harsher than I intended to be, but I was just trying to give you guys the information you needed without all the pointless shit in an attempt to save time and for the convenience factor. Didn't really work out as planned though...

The stromata extended down into the casing and itself contained sclerotia?

Actually my really, really, real guess it isn't trich is because I flipped a coin for the real answer
