Cactus Prep: Tea --> Resin --- a Photo Journey 1

this takes a lot of time!
about 5 feet of top cuts boiled stars for several hours, removed, liquid boiled down somewhat and stored re-used stars and repeated same process about 3 times combined liquid of about 9 liters then boiled down in stainless pot once volume was small enough transferred to croc pot and cooked for many hours on low setting lots of eyeballing when it has become taffy like, to scrape away from the bottom corners where the heat is concentrated and towards the center lots of stirring around to air out. placed in oven a couple of times to warm up and stir some more.
good thing about croc pot is the low heat setting and good to evaporate in. ceramic does not get scratched by knives, etc. last stage of cleanup of croc pot also easy... water washes it all away.
end product yet to be weighed...
last time a batch of tea resin was made a dose of about 40g was a good time. 60+ would be preferable. no vomiting after fasting, bearable nausea. ingestion relatively easier than tea, after rolling up into peanut sized balls covered in flower/etc. recommended to ingest as fast as possible.
results of this batch to be posted sometime in the next few weeks...

WOW how many doses is that?

"They took the drug one evening at Leary's house and had a profound experience, during which Ginsburg prophetically realized that it was a time to start "a peace and love movement". He then ran naked around the house, attempted to get Kruschev and Kennedy on the telephone and announced to the operator that he was God."

it will be interesting to find out.... but a scale is much needed to get a better estimate

many, many, many. so many i would be mocked if i had posted pics from the entire process.
each of three boils about 4 hours time spent straining/reducing maybe another 12 time spent in croc pot probably 24 spread over several days maybe another hour scraping up/cleaning

i've done something similar a couple of time. It works but i found effects reduced somewhat, whether the taffy pellets i made didn't digest full and the remainder got pooped out, or the reduction caused loss of active ingredients; i dunno. Either way it ended up being 2ft to a decent dose. (though still very decent), though i would start with 1 ft to dose to be safe maybe

good news!
my digi scale came today
seems to be 260g worth
i'd put that at 3 strong doses, judging by past resin experiences

listen i've prepped the cactus several different times in several different methods and ingested it several different ways
you know i didn't do that great of a write up through the various boils the flesh was ground down quite a bit. they were not just kept as stars in the pics. sorry!
from past experiences and preparations and this one as well i'm getting a suspicion the best way to take it is to eat the flesh itself
most effective brew thus far has been a croc-potted pulpy pedro tea
you win some, you lose some. but this time around having eaten so much i had high hopes.... bummer!

My suspicion is possibly the heat in the cooking process may have damaged the mescaline in there. Ive done a similar thing with alcohol yielding a similar type of tar. I think what i might do when it comes time to consume it is pour it into some warm water and mix it up till it makes a mescaline sludge, and just do my best to chug-a-lug it.
I also think the pellets thing might be a reason for the effects in that the chunks or tar werent digested, so im going to try and avoid this.

Consuming the green flesh straight does generally give the most intense trips...however...there have been quite a few times I've brewed potent teas that rivaled my trips where I consumed the green flesh straight.
There are alkaloids in the white fiber & core though.
I recently made a brew using a bunch of left over white fiber & cores I had saved in the freezer. I tripped pretty hard for there hardly being any green flesh.
Has this method worked for others successfully? It seems fairly easy..

the first preparation of SP that i made was done by essentially the same method, and yes it did work.
IIRC 1 ft was used for it, and almost all was consumed over 1hr. it only produced mild CEVs going along with music, along with other minor distortions.
croc-potted pulpy tea using the same specimen and consuming ~18" produced significantly better results, with intense OEVs, etc.
the good thing about the method linked above is that the lack of cooking steps mean the product is much less disgusting to taste/smell...

Exactly. I've stayed away from cacti thus far for this reason. For some reason lately my stomach has become even more weak (i end up puking shrooms) but I've wanted to try this...

if you puke shrooms it's probably going to be very difficult
it's probably best to go extraction routes if you're stomach isn't likely to be on your side
i've yet to do a true extraction, but i am eager as it would be the best tool for comparison

well there's 250g of dried green flesh, 405g of mixed sticky and dryer tea resin, and 173g of over-heated in oven super dried tea resin
there's gotta be somethin in that, right.................... decision of chem extract method.... going to take a while
