 Discussing psychedelic experience in college paper

I am writing a personal response paper in a poetry class, and I really would like to talk about my first LSD experience! What are your feelings about this? I guess my only real concern is the professor disagreeing with my drug use and failing me haha?
Surely he cannot report me or anything/use the paper as evidence for my drug use?

I'm just afraid that if I mask it with cosmic metaphors, he is going to point me out for a lack of specificity. I really want to talk about the experience, as it meshes perfectly with the prompt and the poem that I am responding to 
The guy seems like the "hippie" type, tbh. Long hair, very down to earth, easy-going, and curses on a regular basis (not to say that psychonauts have a proclivity for cursing...but it shows "open-mindedness" haha). But perhaps it is just a bad idea...

Write it as a mystical experience. You were hiking in the Himalayas and all of a sudden you were slammed with a notion of endlessness and infinity. Don't mention the DMT elves by name, they don't like literal minded fools.

I wrote a story about my first LSD trip for an adolescent literature class. I never got my grade on that assignment but my overall grade shot up quite a bit so I assume the prof dug it. I wrote the paper in first person so, in theory, it could have been anyone; however, it seemed pretty obvious it was me. I also did not use any metaphorical language or anything to disguise what I was doing. Go Ask Alice has tons of drug use so I figured that topic was on the table.

its so EDGY and HIP to write about drugs in college. professors TOTALLY dig it. it gets you super academic points.

I see no problem other than him becoming biased and grading you accordingly.
