Trich growing on perlite? What do?

So the other day I opened my FC to fan it out and noticed some GREEN growing in the corner. I scooped it out and threw the infected perlite in the trash, and noticed a SHIT TON of water just sitting beneath the surface of the perlite. so i removed all my cakes, drained the water out and replaced everything. then today i noticed the trich had come back with a vengeance. its all along one side of my FC now. is there anything I can do to kill it? I've read that H2O2 works on cakes? would it work on perlite? i have no idea how the trich is getting any nutrients out of the perlite but somehow its growing. my cakes dont have any contamination on them, but they're on their last leg (i think) so it doesnt seem worth it to run out and buy another FC and more perlite.
so would it hurt my cakes in any way to spray some H2O2 on the perlite?

Is it on your cakes then? Might just be algae.
If its on your cakes, toss the cakes that have it on them.

I dont think so. You can wash the perlite with some soap, stir it up a bit, and just let it rinse out in the shower.
Might do the trick.

if it is algae you can add some bleach to the perlite after you have rinsed it, that will help to reduce the green
