I received a plate which was quite grown out but been refrigerated, the myc was all crazy 3D and yellow ish, but still white sprouts on the edges,i made a transfer to see how it goes, do i take it this is just aging mycelium like reishi ages, or is it a characteristic of the mycelium?
Can i just slant this up on MEA as per normal, will store same same....? until i find all chemicals....

Hi Yes,
You can put it safe in the refrigurator no problem. TIP when you put the substrate when it has fully colonized inside the refrigurator they start better to grow. But when you wait long enough they also grow on room temp.

Cool thanks.
I just had a heat wave here of over 110 F and had to put 95% of my dishes in the fridge and I was hoping that C. militaris was one of the cultures that did ok in the fridge.
They looked pretty good when I took them out the other day but will probably take a couple of new dishes to make sure.

Hi Base Icks,
That's normal when the mycelium is ready to start fruiting it turn yellow. No worry I think you will seen very soon small cordyceps in your petri dish
