LOL, the New York Post... About as credible as Fox News (actually true, both are owned by Rupert Murdoch). Get with it Shins, you're using tabloids for your investing advise. I wish you the very best, none the less.

Well, i just randomly pulled that one up to show that the fed is locked and loaded for another round of "quantitative easing"
Try this:
Google; Fed QE2
Unless you think the fed will allow a deflationary collapse, gold is going to keep rising.
Only a tiny percentage of the population is into gold, talk of a gold bubble is nonsense, once gold becomes more mainstream (at least more than 5% of the population into it) you'll know it may be overpriced.
Edit: note you'll notice a lot of "mainstream" "news" outlets aren't really covering this story or it's buried somewhere...
things that make you go HMMMMMmmmmmmmm...

you are attempting to discredit information by attacking the source. if you want to discredit information, do exactly that. show why it is incorrect and/or irrelevant. don't take the coward's way out.
by the way, you might want to cover up... your bias is showing. still trapped in the left vs right paradigm, i see?

Word, I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago...
Cognitive dissonance, adaptive preference formation in relation to conspiracy theory (sour grapes)
This phenomenon i believe helps to explain why people still have confidence in the fed and fiat money. All most people know these days is fiat, central and fractional reserve banking. When people challenge these established norms I definitely see a lot of Cognitive dissonance and "sour grapes" behavior.

isn't the point of gold that it doesn't go too far up or too far down? you aren't going to get a major return of your stock but it won't drop too much either. am I wrong?
as far as stocks, geez, what happened to legitimate business? there are so many people buying stocks these days, it almost seems possible to buy more shares of a company than the company is actually worth.
i don't want to throw away wall street, but this forum is so active, how many people here are avid stock traders etc.? Lol this IS the shroomery. and don't get me wrong I'm glad people discuss this.
anyone against investing in your own business? i know it's redundant but wtf why not then you know if it'll go up or down.
buying stock to me is like gambling, you might win you might lose better ways to invest your money if you ask me.
some great conversation here though. sophistication like this is what gets me out of otd for a minute to see what is happening.

It is gambling and it worked out well for people for a while until the economic collapse. I was just getting old enough to invest in stocks after the collapse, so I bought some reputable companies for pennies and it's paid off so far.
