Massive Fruits - Unknown ID

Saw these outside in 2007, found these pics looking through an old external HD. I took these pics because these fruits were so massive and there were so many. If you can't tell from looking at the pics, the largest fruits are about the size of a paper plate and the smaller ones were about the size of a softball.
These were found growing in New Jersey at the end of September. I don't remember the temperature outside.

Did you touch or pick one? Were they really soft with green gills? They look like green gills to me but I'm no expert

I didn't do anything but take a picture. I was just in awe of not only the size, but the amount of them. I've seen a huge mushroom, even a few, but never a few dozen at a time.

well...if you ever find green gills I suggest you touch em, they are sooo soft ^_^ ! . . .
. . .i'm such a shroom freak >_>
anyway i still THINK they are green gills, I found those twice, once there were like 7 or 8 of them, the other time there was like 12, so they do come in bunches. But again, I am not 100% sure these are them.

I'm fairly sure they are Chlorophyllum molybdites.
See what a TI says.

Chlorophyllum Molybdites fo sho~ (green gills).
(My other guess was Chlorophyllum (prev. Macrolepiota) rhacodes based on the caps being a little more shaggy than the C. Molybdites I've found before)

Most likely c. molybdites, but without a spore print, it's impossible to be sure.

I would't call them 'highly poisonous', but yeah, not good to consume.

You guys are aware this is 6 months old right? And the picture was probably 2 years old when I posted it? I just found it while organizing my pics and asked for an ID.

Depends on your definition of highly poisonous.
These mushrooms do not require you to go to the hospital, but they will make most people extremely sick for a couple days. Some people can eat them without problems.
