Where do you meet sober people?

I'm 19 and I have a hard time finding friends that are relatively sober.
I enjoy getting trashed from time-to-time but I want friends I can hang with sober and still have fun. But it seems that no one my age has any of the same interests; everybody is just looking to always get some pills or always get drunk... it's quite annoying.
Anybody have this dilemma? Where do you meet these people? I don't want to go to AA meetings because I don't need AA and that's not exactly what I'm looking for.

What are you interests, there is no doubt groups that cater to those.
I get my sober friends through: -Muay Thai -Skydiving -Dancing (class)
All my other friends, I have no similar interests so we only meet up to drink or blaze.

Libraries, bookstores, and crackhouses.

the store, the library, school...
actually met most of my true friends by getting stoned w/ them and talking. I like to stay sober most of the time and trip and smoke pot occasionally. My friends are the same way. I them.

Those are a lot harder IMO then joining an activity or sport where you're immediately narrowed down into smaller groups and forced to interact.

I suppose I don't have to many hobbies to begin with. I do enjoy going to the gym, swimming, hiking, going on walks, exploring new places around the city, playing chess.
Namely just hanging out without drugs

Well it's obvious you like fitness, just join a sport or similar activity, problem solved
My top suggestion is still dancing, awesome skill to have, physical, large female ratio and extremely easy to meet new people.

Actually my wife and I have the exact same problem! We are trying to raise a family and it's like between our family and friends, bosses, associates- we can't find sober (or responsible) people to save our lives. And the only sober people we do occasionally come across are TOTALLY sober and share none of our most basic interests. I'm just glad you posted this so I don't feel like I'm the only one out there this evening thinking the same thing.

I need to meet less sober people. Up until recently I've been around 100% sober people. It would probably explain my reckless drug use.

That's why you meet sober people at an activity/interest of YOUR choosing, you can't fail.
It's much easier then trying to find sober people at general locations.

School, work, life. Go meet people, somebody has to be sober.
Or move to a bigger town?

sounds like you're in need of the Ku Klux Klan, they hang out while being sober
except for the beer and probably crystal meth
