 crude dmt extract question

my lazy ass friend is gonna try another lazy dmt extraction and this time he wants to just take sodium carbonate and mix it with his bark powder, then add water and let it sit till it evaporates.
after that he wants to soak the dried bark/sodium carbonate in acetone or 99% iso and then strain and evaporate.
i think it might work but very very poorly, what do you think?

I think your friend does not quite understand the process that leads to DMT freebase precipitating from bark matter. Just do the proper process, it's not too hard. Easier then baking a cake

Actually I think mixing bark and base water in a jar, adding some naphtha, then pouring the naphtha into another jar and putting it in the freezer is easier than baking a cake.
