Just singin' the monotub mold blues!!! Need help. Pics included

NOOOOOOOO,

I prepared a monotub 12 days ago consisting of 1 brick coir 2 qt verm, 2 qt coffee and a half pint gypsum, with 3 qt of fully colonized spawn.  I pasturized the mix, added spawn once it had cooled, brought the bulk sub to what I believed was field capacity.  (water would only drip out when I squeezed tightly)  I sealed all the tub's holes with packaging tape, wrapped it in black plastic, and left it in my closet.  2 days later I went on vacation for a week.  I came back to find A fully colonized tub, all except three wet patches not quite as colonized, which i dabbed lightly with a paper towel.  I did notice a lot of condensation on the substrate, which frustrated me because I really tried to get the moisture content right, as my last mono gave way to mold due to waaay to much water.  Now two and a half days into fruiting, my mono has mold all over where the wet patches were.  You can notice water droplets on the surface due to a lot of condensation.  This is sooooo fucking frustrating, and a little sad too considering how much work I put into it.

What could have caused this?  I took soo many measures as to do everything right.  WTF!!!  Please, any help would be much appreciated.

---A frustrated grower.

That sucks.I just lots a mono to some trich.

What can I say...you win some and you lose some, but you live to grow another day.Maybe try some MSG's (mini mono/shotgun hybrids so that way all your eggs aren;t in one basket. This is what I plan on doing, this way you might have a better success rate.

That much trich probably is the result of contaminated spawn. Double check all spawn jars and sniff test them at spawning.

Field capacity comes first.

I usually dump hot water into cooler, and dunk the bulk substrate in a pillowcase into the water.  Im just curious as to how bringing the substrate to field capacity beforehand will make any difference?

Here's where I got the idea:
