 Called the cops on my neighbors, Im a dead man. Crazy night...

Maybe. I dont call cops, but I feel it was a reasonable situation.
There was a party across the street. Bunch of gang bangers. I dont live in the nicest neighborhood. Anyhow Im on my way home on the scooter at like 4 in the morning, and some drunk ass is in the front yard throwing full beer cans at passing cars. He tossed one at me, hitting about a foot or so right in front of me. He didnt know I lived right across the street. I guess normally I would have walked over and said something, but the last thing Im going to do is walk over and try to reason with a bunch of drunk mexican gangsters.
So I called the cops. He asks if I want to press charges and I tell them no. I just wanted to let them know what was going on before shit got out of hand. So the cops bust the party. Lame I know. The owner starts yelling at the cops fuck you this and that so they write her a ticket. She slams the door after some more harsh words and I can tell theyre annoyed. So they run some plates of people at the party and find a stolen SUV. They get that towed and pretty much the whole party is out on the lawn now. Theyre all yelling and throwing signs up so like 5 more cop cars show up. Shit getting crazy. They all run inside. After a while the cops start wandering back to the cars and the party comes back out yelling and dancing and throwing up signs. As the cops get closer...they all run back inside. This goes on for about 3 hours.
It gets to be about 7..8 in the morning and the cops finally decide to leave. The party goes outside and theyre hootin and hollerin and huggin eachother...high fives and all that. I guess they had some adrenaline pumping or something...but the whole crowd erupts into a giant fuckin brawl right in the street. People getting knocked out and carried away. It was crazy.
All this over some asshole throwing full beer cans at passing cars. So anyhow Im sure they know Im the one who called the police. Right across the fuckin street.

if you went over there
im sure they would have fucked you up bad
they were asking for a fight by throwing beer cans.
you did the right thing.
any aggression on your part
would just result in more aggression from them.
so letting the cops handle it was probably your best and safest bet.

If he screamed wtf the gang bangers would have laughed even harder. well according to my PC ideals i wouldn't call the police on them unless perhaps someone was really harmed, but this sort of PC ideology tries to take care of the problem at the source at the same time. so doing one and not the other fucking sucks
i honestly don't know what to do, put up with the bullshit or get in more risk for that, i don't think someone throwing beer cans at cars is that big of a deal, however dickish it might be, no one is dead. though if the beers are made of glass then it's insanely dickish.

Oh also: OP should be commended because he alerted authorities to a fucking den of thieves. Someone's stolen SUV has been returned to them, and I'm sure some people at that party had warrants out for their arrest in connection with violent crimes. Really, that's pretty much a forgone conclusion.
Get that sort of fucking trash off the street. You don't deserve to be free if you use that freedom to fucking oppress others.
