Whats with it. Honestly I dont think its that great. It gets old really quick. But it seems like everywhere I go it's the hot thing. I would much rather some goa trance or hardstyle. Can anyone tell me what they find so great about it?

i dunno dubstep is just fresh. like wehn your out at a club or event the music is slow but filthy and its sick you can just get your creep on to it and not get tired. i just rkn its awesome.
where as when listening to hardstyle and shit i love it too cos im a raver but its way fast and starts to do ur head in after a bit, and u get tired dancing to hardstyle cos u gotta exert so much effort.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're all giving dubstep a bad name. Along with basically anything dubstep. I'll go as far to stay as any dubstep music gives dubstep a bad name.

i just cant stand the dubstep that has no relation to melody, painful to the ears

Dubstep is great if it's fucking hard and face-melting wobbly.
But ofcoouurrrsseeeee the genre got known and commercialized and now you have shitty producers making shitty songs that are only a SHITTY FUCKING MINUTE LONG.

I love dubstep. But before I go any further I'll be the first to agree that most of it sounds like shit. The thing about dubstep is that there's a butt load of it out there, and to me only a small percentage of it is good, quality music. Once you you find those gems it's a fucking beautiful thing.
I got into it a few years back before it became hip and popular. Now you see a dubstep post in the Pub almost everyday.
Also, one of the biggest things about dubstep that some people don't understand is you have to hear it in the right place at the right time. If you're listening to it on little computer speakers you're missing 50% of what dubstep is all about. You need giant speakers and sub woofers to feel the depth that is dubstep.
If you've seen it performed live and you were under the influence of LSD or MDMA (or something equally as good) it amplified your respect for the genre as well.
