This is the first casing or bulk attempt, what do you think should be done now? These look appropriately colonized but not sure. Love a second opinion. I think a monotub is what would be appropriate at this point. Is it possible to put these small containers into a large container of coir and coffee grounds in order to increase yield. Basically I have made it this far and I am now trying to figure out what to do next. These were made with 4 quarts of WBS spawned to a 60/40 with a little gypsum and coffee. Any help would be appreciated.
These look off white but are actually quite white.

I wouldn't do that, simply because those trays have already been exposed to open air, they would most likely contam. Just build a shotgun fc with plenty of perlite and toss those suckers in if they're 100% colonized.

cant do anything more than put a casing on them if you plan on it or place them in a fc as stated above. If those are just aluminum trays its not considered a mono and you cant use a monotub with those trays. trying to spawn those to a bigger bulk would be a bad ideal.

Yeah, I thought spawning to bulk would be a bad idea but I wasn't sure. Another question is do these trays look fully colonized, I am worried about overlay. This being the first grow I don't really know what overlay is.

when you spawn to bulk you take colonized grains and spawn those to a bulk sub, cant take a casing and spawn that. you chose to case your grains. So all you have left now is to fruit them.

Thanks I placed these guys in a shotgun. Why is it that you cant spawn a casing to something larger. Is it not pretty similar to spawning BRF cakes to poo or coir? I am new so I am only asking for understanding def. not challenging anyone.

you past. your casing, so its not 100% sterile. mixing that into another bulk sub would cause it to get contam. or the mycl will be too spent and stall half way thru. you got plenty of perlite in that fc right?

yeah aluminum is a bad choice, ive had a super thick turkey cooking tin get eatin threw in less than a week, you can use it if you line it with a plastic bag or garbabe bag or something but at that point i would just spend the 2$ and get a plastic tub, you could turn it into a mono if you find a tub the exact or slightly smaller size of your trays but you would be getting pretty lucky at that point, also this is assuming your trays are 4 inchs deepQuote:

a casing is a layer used to create a micro climate at your sub surface, im sure if your hell bent you could do it, but just keep it in that shotgun if you want shrooms, watch your mistings

Ya you cant see it but I used 2 whole bags, ended up being about 3 inches. I followed RR's TEK rinsed and drained well then put the trays right on top. I also misted enough to make the myc look shiny. Think its to cramped in the chamber?

They are the cheap aluminum trays but I used the plastic covers they come with in between the exterior aluminum and a layer of aluminum foil that will hopefully prevent side pins. I have plastic I guess I should have used them. NOOB for sure. This is actually my first attempt ever, I did a lot of reading and WBS actually seems easier than the BRF.
I am not sure if it is proper to add a question to a post but do you folks know if Goat Poo is an acceptable medium to do a bulk grow. I will put some more holes in the chamber tonight.

UPDATE:
So I had some issues after the fruiting chamber,
One: I misted too hard or RH fell and created blueing, which I thought was blue mold, I unintelligently acted on what I thought I should do and sprayed the casing down with a much too high concentrated h202 solution. There was foaming and the trays looked done. To my surprise this afternoon I came home and it looks as though they might make it through to give me a little something for all of the hard work.
