Two rescue attempts!!!

SWIM's first grow! One of his jars contaminated when it was about halfway done (rye and Ecuador)... THEN he learned the tyvek filter should've been on the outside of the jar >_<. The rest are doing fine and 7 are at 100%. While waiting for the rest to get there and reading up on his bulk sub of choice, he decided to try an experiment (knowing the result probably won't be safe even if it looks OK).
His camera is shit so he didn't get any good pics, but it looked like grey/blue mold on the uncolonized parts. Soooo he dumped that part out in the grass, scooped out the white colonized stuff with a bit of mold on it or that had touched the moldy part, and planted it in a flowerbox of (somewhat used) potting soil (and possibly some swiss chard roots).
Two days later, there's rhizomorphic mycelium visible just under the soil layer. He told me he poked some of the soil around with a plastic fork and it looked strong and healthy, no signs of mold. The temperature outside has been in the high 80s to low 90s over the last few days, raining daily or every other day, so it's way humid outside -- though he's misted it occasionally.
What was left in the jar was scooped out and placed in an empty 2L soda bottle, two inches of wet perlite on the bottom, the layer of colonized grains, covered with a thin layer of peat and verm. Top left open with a polyfil plug, on a shelf in the dark. This morning, something white and fuzzy was poking through the casing in some places! Thinking it was cobweb mold, SWIM sprayed it with a dilute peroxide solution (half perox, half water). It "melted" on contact, though looking at some pics online, he thinks he might've zapped some mycelium instead...
Now it's in the bottom half of the bottle, top half removed, opening covered 3/4 with plastic wrap and the polyfil stretched over the remaining 1/4 for FAE. It's sitting in front of the window.
I know there's no certainty without a picture, but does that sound like cobweb? Bright white, but "melted" by peroxide. Also, we're wondering what more experienced growers think about the attempts to save it. Likely unsafe regardless, right, but does it sound like it might work?
Thanks.

Please put the whole thing outside and don't touch it or mess with it- you're spreading it around. Or just toss it.

Thanks for the reply. If it is still covered in mold, how do I get rid of it without spreading it? Should I bury it, or bag it and throw it away?

Agreed! Contamination spores can become a real problem.
