I was surprised to read here that many people prefer not to toke when they trip on shrooms because it can make the trip cloudy and whatnot. I'm going to try this on my next trip since I've always smoked when I trip, I'm excited to see how this affects my trip.
How do you all feel about smoking pot before/during a roll? I've never not smoked when rolling either but was wondering what the collective experience of the shroomery thinks on this. I know everyone's different, just wondering about your personal experiences.

while rolling I needed to smoke the herb
but while shroomin/acid tripping I prefer without but I usually end up smoking anyways

ok im a little confused. are we talking about cannabis with mdma or with mushrooms? either way, i have always found a little herb to potentate any psychedelic/empathogen.

for me, and i can really only speak for myself, smoking beforehand is fine and definitely okay on the down slope of any psychedelic. pot typically makes my trip more intense if smoked on the come down.
one thing that's weird that i haven't noticed with other people, is the jwh completely takes me out of whatever i'm on. it's like it just puts whatever i'm tripping on to the side and then when it wears off i'm right back where i was. that stuff is pretty weird.

Weed will definitely overpower a moderate roll. Smoking while rolling intensely will likely increase the visual effects, but I would personally avoid smoking while rolling. Its just a more pure endorphin release experience without it.

For me, it just doesn't really do anything, and it seems like a waste not to save it for the next morning when I'll really want it. MDMA totally overpowers it.

Yeah thats why I very rarely buy those. $15 for who the fuck knows what just sucks. There were some dual pill nights that were worth it though

Even in CA i pay $65 for a quarter oz
top quality pills are $3

Thats just the strong point in this area. Also thats with connections higher up the chain. Street psychedelics are almost non-existent though. The other more common substances here are coke xanax and heroin.
Im not much of a weed enthusiast. So I would much rather have the cheap MDMA and psychedelics.

ive only rolled once and it dramatically kicked in right after we smoked, it really seemed to have an affect, but then again i have nothing to compare it to so i doubt i am any help.

Well I can explain it to you. Essentially, taking MDMA makes your body start pumping out a ton of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine (aka adrenaline). it's not that simple, there are hundreds of subdivisions of these systems but you get it. Marijuana indirectly agonizes dopamine through cannabinoid receptors. When you're on ecstacy and having a low-dopamine/"bad" trip, smoking weed helps bring up your dopamine levels. It depends on the weed and person too, I mean some people get super anxious just from randomly blazing. But as a whole, smoking sativa/high thc weed gets me tripping more (makes the brain kick back into the mdma-type cycle of serotonin) and smoking indica weed doesn't get me tripping much but chills out my roll a lot, especially if I hit moles.
However as far as the psychedelic/mind portion of MDMA, I think that weed dumbs you down a little bit, because that's the nature of it's effects from cannabinoids and shit. It makes your thinking, which can get pretty detailed and intense on MDMA, considerably more limited (depending how stoned you are obviously).
Also weed has different effects on people depending on what and how much they smoke. Combined with ecstacy this makes you pretty sensitive to what concentrations of chemicals are in the weed. just food for thought

My expirience, if you take the pills and they have a decent amount of mdma and then you smoke a couple joints you will probably just get a bit more floaty, the mdma was over powering and I didn't seem to get stoned, I just got less crazy jumping around etc lol
That was one time though, I did smoke another two times on pills but I was also very drunk and on lots of speed (both occaions) then I smoked a little bit and it skyrocketed everything, it was okay but too intense to enjoy, some people say oh yeah I love that but this was like a "oh shit I am fucked up and where the fuck is the ground, woah, vomit"
So personally, weed does not go well with party drugs! unless you are a stoner maybe it would go well but definatly not for the occasional smoker, why? because if you don't smoke much and get really baked weed will over power it and you won't feel the effects of the others drugs as much, which really sucks, combinations are bad in my opinion, just like mixing alcohol, you will get too fucked up and vomit, when mixing drugs, well, you never know what the fuck will happen. Combos are for the pros.

Mary jane has alwaaaays been an amplifier for ecstasy or Shrooms, But nitrous....lol thats a 1000x amplify for XTC
Also $25 1/4oz of some Good Green, $5-7.5 for a pill
Now and days XTC is crap...Mostly amp, or pipes..or baby laxative..lol
