What are you going to be using it for?

As i've said before, i am exceptionally happy with my Marmot Eos for 3 seasons lightweight backpacking.

Also happy with my Sierra designs 2-3 man tent.

Make everyone get seperate tents.  Last thing you wanna do at a festie is meet some hot chick that want's to fuck, but you can't because you are sharing the tent with mad people.  Sex while tripping is awesome, lots of horny sluts at festies, dunno just my opinion.

Well I guess that is different.  It isn't really an easy sell getting some random chick into an orgy though, I still think you should get separate tents unless you are just trying to hook up the people you are going with.  I'd suggest just going to walmart or target and just buying an 8 man tent.  That's pretty much what everyone does at festies, the Ozark Trails tents are decent so are the Embark.  They all leak if its pouring, unless you buy a really expensive tent.  Just watch the forcast and if its going to rain put your shit in the car, or under the ezup (another thing you need for fests).  What fests are you planing on hitting up?  I'm gonna be all over tristate area this summer going to different festies.

I've seen more tarps blow away in storms than easy ups.  Tarps are a better option though if you stake them up because they can cover a lot more area, and it rarely gets that windy at fests.  I go for less work though, and tarps are a lot more work.

I need a new tent too.

At the last festival I went to the zipper broke on out tent. Luckily we had an extra blanket and I was able to ghetto rig some sort of 'door' to keep the bugs out and give us some privacy...

But I think me and my gf are going to be buying this tent next weekend, its only $60. We're going to a 'Grateful Garcia Gathering' in a couple of weeks.

Our old tent was a smaller 'Swiss Gear' tent. It was only big enough to fit our air mattress in there and that was about it. It'll be nice to have a bigger tent with more room to move around in.

Those Ozark Trail tents are cheap for a good reason. They are cheap.
Good deal I guess if you are on a budget and need a temporary shelter.. but don't expect it to last.

Yep, you get what you pay for.

But for only$60 it's worth it. What does a quality tent that size coast? $400+?

That size? What a good 3-4 man tent? Should run about 250-400, yeah.
Me, I'd rather pay the extra 100-150 bucks or whatever and get a tent that not gonna leak and fall apart after 3 days.
Here's a few good quality 4-ish man tents that aren't SUPER expensive

http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___27710
http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___27888

Just a few examples.. all from quality reputable brands
They vary in price but any of those tents would probably be 10x better than some shitty Ozark Trail.
Seriously, those things are crap. They are built to leak and fall apart after like a week.
Most Ozark Trails are good for one festival experience. Maybe two. It's not worth the $60 IMO.
I never knew "disposable tents" even existed until walmart started selling them.

Yeah. They are super great and all, if you only have $60 and you need a tent at 3am in the middle of Arkansas, then hell yeah.. get an ozark trail!
Personally I'd advise spending a little extra and getting something that is durable and is gonna last 100 times longer but that's me.

The tent I posted sleeps 8 and can fit 2 queen size air matresses. The center height is 6'.

Ah well yeah.. you're probably not gonna find a good 8-10 person tent for less than 220 or so, Eureka would be the next step up.

I know this is outa the bounds of your pricing...  But I just picked one of these up myself.

My two best friends and I are road-tripping this summer and needed a tent that was worthy.  After having used an Ozark Trail tent for the last 3 years... this thing is a godsend!

http://www.springbar.com/explore/vagabond/vagabond4.html

We landed on this tent because we'll be spending 8 days at Burning Man and we needed a shelter than can withstand the winds, and something that can keep the desert out.

The tent took about 10 minutes of me staring at the poles and instructions, and then 5 minutes of "Oh, I get it"  BAM  tent up.  Thing is huge,  I can stand up strait in the corners and at any wall, its got a HUGE window, full size door...

If you're looking for a tent, this thing is the best.

We went out and looked at tents at Gander Mountain today and a similar tent was selling for $160. I'm not sure how good of a tent it was though.

We ended up buying that Ozark Trails tent though. It was $78 in stores, and only $65 shipped online so we just ordered it online. I'm not too worried about it breaking after a couple uses, our old Swiss Gear tent leaked and the zipper broke after 4-5 festivals and that was supposedly a "quality tent".

I want to get myself a nice backpacking tent. The tent I have been using is soo beat up all the poles are starting to split and ive had to duct tape the hell out of them in soo many places. Ozark Trail 2-pole and holds like a champ. But I want something I can take backpacking. Expensive tents.
