Deputies Confiscate Pot Plants, Drug Paraphernalia From House
SPARTA, Tenn. -- Usually marijuana growing operations are kept out of sight, but in one case, the pot was put in plain view.
The White County Sheriff's Department confiscated two dozen pot plants, fertilizer and drug paraphernalia from a home Tuesday.
Authorities had been tipped that drugs were being sold out of the house. When deputies went to check it out, they saw several plants growing in a window that could be seen from the street.

Nope, not in Tennessee. But it's being discussed and researched in the capitol, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

That's because everyone is a God fearing, homosexual and black people hating, conservative christian. If you go to Nashville, which is the only liberal place in Tennessee, then this is not the case.

i live/grew up in/near nashville, and i can 100% say that attitude is here. maybe a tad less prevalent than elsewhere, but you can find it. and IMHO liberal and TN are damn near oxymorons.
i'm convinced that, until federal legalization, this region of the country will the be the absolute last stronghold for reactionary idiotic prohibition-minded individuals.

You can say it all you like, we still don't have ballot initiative, so the reply will always be "lol wtf gtfo fgt!"
The ONLY way we'd get it decriminalized is if they thought it would make people actually buy the tax stamps so they could embezzle the revenue. We've got a higher sales tax than any surrounding state, and the only thing we get from it is good roads because Ned Ray owned a Budweiser distributor and wanted to save on truck maintainance.

Routinely rated top 10 in the country. Schools routinely rated bottom 10 in the country.
The prevailing attitude in this state is "Eh fuck it, someone else will fix it," which is fine for layabout potheads and librarians and shit, but not so much for educators and legislators.

James L. Hart, a candidate who supported eugenics, got 26 percent of the vote for Tn house of Reps. The bill to prohibit gay marriage passed with almost 80%.
So to break it down, 4 in 5 hate fags enough to prevent them from marrying, and 1 in 4 hate blacks and mexicans enough to have the state remove them however possible.

it really kind of sucks because there are a select few qualities of "traditional" southern culture (hospitality, generosity, friendliness, a general sense of community) that I very much appreciate & try to emulate.
and now, nearly devoid of said traits, that culture's turned into a cesspool.

Illusion. Total illusion. It's selective hospitality, and the general sense of community equates to knowing all your neighbors shit so you can think yourself better than them.
