Fads. They die. And this is one that needs to quick. Though it won't. Soon the mainstream car commercials will have it. Soon rappers will start flowing to it. Soon every 14 year old will have a flat brim hat, and a stupid patterned hoody. Soon everyone will dance 2 step style, and be in the cool dubstep in crowd in clubs.
Raves were cool when they were raves.
Raves are slowly dying, and it's because of dubstep.
Just wait til your dubstep loving thugs, take over your raves with thier shit drugs.
Just wait til more and more and more minors fill the clubs.
Just wait til alcohol prices skyrocket at the clubs you are drinking at because there are so many minors there for the rusko show.
I woudn't even dream of going to camp bisco this year because of all the dubstep.
It's music that will not progress into anything.
And for people who love anal raping 15 year olds, just chill outside a club and smoke some marlboros, make sure you have a creative shirt on, and you know the latest dj who isn't doing the exact thing he should, and you are in  . The kiddies will flock to you and you can all comment on your sweet new hats

2-step, garagey pseudo-technoey not-really-dubstep any more tunage is good... European stuff like trg & 2562 is fat, but its not really dubstep. Good ole bristolian dubstep is good too, like appleblim, peverellist & martyn (but again it's not really dubstep in the classical sense of the word)  .
I cannot stand generic wobbly rusko style dubstep though.

THank you! I'm not familiar with the club trends and how "dubstep" fits in but from a musical perspective it's cookie cutter bullshit. I agree it won't progress or enrich the musical landscape in any way because it's a paint by numbers approach to music, to use another cliche discribe it, which is fitting for such a generic form of music.
Why is it even called dubstep? Ostensibly it should draw from dub, ie: reggae rhythmic forms but most of the dubstep I've heard doesn't even have a drop beat.

I have tried to listen to dubstep but no mater what song you guys post up or anyone recommends I just hate the crap out of it.
I don't get it. It makes my brain bleed just trying to understand why anyone would like it.
