 Marijuana Legalization

This is a poll run by MSNBC. As of right now the results, whereas they may not represent a very big chunk of the American population, are completely overwhelming - 98% of people who have voted in this article think that Marijuana should be legalized.

I know online polls are often overlooked as malarkey but, I figure, the more often people make their opinions about this sort of thing known the more intelligent the advocates of all sorts of marijuana-use sound and the more belligerent and moronic the prohibitionists sound.
And with the new Documentary by comedian Bill Hick's long-time friend, Kevin Booth, called "How Weed Won the West" getting rave reviews I think it's about time people just stop dicking around and start being fairly open about the fact that Marijuana is awesome. Please, encourage your friends to stop feeling as-though it's a vice to be ashamed of... or even a vice at all for that matter.

The tides are certainly turning. It's kind of mind blowing that it was ever made illegal in the first place. Just about everybody has smoked pot at one time or another.

first of all..any poll about marijuana has an inherent bias..especially if its MSNBC...irregardless of what any poll says..i doubt very much that more than 10% of americans actually support legalizing marijuana for non-medical uses..
second of all..when the marijuana polls (whether accurate or not) have inched to this level in the past..there has always been a strong right-wing backlash in the next election cycle...its the end of the beginning of marijuana prohibition.. not the beginning of the end...
