There is no such thing as spraying fields for certain types of mushrooms. It is still too cold for cubensis where you are located more than likely. Give it time.

Ok thanks because sometimes i will find fields with a abundance of cubes and zero pans. I guess its just the different terrain the field with all the pans has alot of forest, and the ones with cubes is just a large field with tall grass. Thanks guys and girls

Yeah depending on where you live it is very likely that they will eventually produce cubes. Just gotta be patient.

One of the main reasons Pans would be growing and Cubes would not:
No P. cubensis spores in the field. They aren't even in the same Genus. Just because some people find them together doesn't mean anything.
Now I am not saying that they will not grow there sometime. They just won't grow there in the future because of the fact that Panaeolus sp. grow there.

i find that the pan antillarum are an indicator that a few more good rains are needed then the cubes and copes will start sprouting.

Oh I do believe they may be a great indicator species, but I just wanted to make it clear to the OP that Panaeoulus sp. does not guarantee Psilocybe sp.

At my place it's Antillarum then Cyans then sometimes antillarum again... then Cubes with a few straggler cyans. The weather governs the period between them, they do occur together but that order I've seen year after year.

I almost never find cyans and cubes growing at the same time, it is usually one or the other.
I would think pan cyans would be more likely to find now and cubes when it starts warming up more.
I love it in december when my field is covered in pan cyans, seriously so amazing to find so much potent fungi.

That was one day of picking in december and when I went back in a week there was even more!
