One other thing..........semi's love rain could they be natures liquid inoculating strain? I mean perhaps the spores germinate and form dikaryotic mycelia in rain water(plus any soil and enteric bacteria present) prior to settling into the substrate and this exposure to this type of germination influences the mycelia to grow and pin.Many questions for a hobbyist eh? I will continue to just copy Ma Nature as best I can.So far I've been having much fun! :grin:WR

I will be trying some of the wood lovers outside.
But liberty caps hold a special spot in my heart[heart]
So these are my main interesst in the expermental stakes.
As other species are tryed and tested with gidelines availble.

Good to see others hold the little iddy mushrooms in high esteme.
They are and will always be my favorite :smile:

now if i can get the rabbits to eat some . actually that was first thing i tried, but rationalizion, and shortage of shrooms turned me against the idea .my gf said it was cruelty to animals, called me a rabbit abuser  :crazy: but i notice she doesn't mind when its time for BarBQs  :grin:
