I had an idea the other day while drinking my daily glass of barleygreen( a powder made from dried barley extract, wild rice, and kelp) I was thinking what a great supplement it would make. I'm definately going to try next time i grow, maybe 50/50 with and without, comments?

i sure could be way off here. Also dependson what point you plan on using this stuff. As a supplement ot substrate? It seems to me for a starting substrate (ala brf) you want high carbs high sugars. For bulk substrate (ala poo, rye) you want high carbs low sugar=high fiber. Also high protein seems liek it would be good, maybe not. Take or leave the protein, seems like high carbs is essential. The only truly high # is vitamin A (can't you OD on that vitamin?), I doubt that a lot of A is gonna help out your fruits. I don't see how this would hurt when used as a substrate supplement but it seems that it wouldn't greatly help either. my .02

yeah, but assuming i would use 3 tablespoons (15g) thats 3g sugar, 3g protien, etc etc etc, which when you think about it is quite a bit, oh, and it would be an additive to the initial substrate.

i was looking at the calcium, iron, and potassium numbers in this stuff . not sure if mushies would use those nutes, but i do know they are good for plants .barley green powder is an excelent humus for soil .its not used much because its kinda spendy .
wouldn't be fun if the chlorophyll turned your mushies green ? st. patie would be proud .
