Also according to the spawn calculator that thing need 8.3 quarts of bulk and 4 quarts of spawn for a 1:2 ratio.. So that is basically one brick of just straight coir.

thats up to u. both tubs here have 2 big jars WBS 4 big jars of coir and 1 regular jar for a frosting on top and still had coir left over.

Do you guys pasteurize your coir or just add 1 gallon of boiling water to 1 brick of coir and spawn? I seem to remember someone saying they do that.
I like that tub also. That would be so easy to drop in an ultrasonic, attach a fan to the top, add a vent and boom custom built humidifier!

I do one brick of coir and 1 gallon of boiling water.. You then poor the water over the coir and check on it in about 20 minutes and stir it up and break up the big chunks.. I then let it sit for about 2 hrs with a lid on the bucket and usually at that time it is still around 150 degrees, so technically it is pasteurizing.
