cube liquid spore solution on agar

whats an average time for any signs of growth? I recently streaked some agar dishes with cube spore solution, about 1cc per plate... Was I wrong in streaking a line on the plate rather than just placing a blob of spore solution in the middle of the plate? Did I use too little of solution? (I used a loop, the tip had a drop sized amount of liquid spore solution per plate) How long should I wait before determining there isnt gonna be any growth?

With hydrated spores you should be seeing growth in roughly 3-5 days. You only need 1 droplet of spore solution to inoculate an agar plate.
-------------------- Do not deny the classical approach, simply as a reaction, or you will have created another pattern and trapped yourself there.

What is your reason for starting on agar?
All the situations that I can think of, it is beneficial to use very little inoculum in the middle of the dish. With 1mL spread around, it seems like it would inoculate the whole plate all at once; you wouldn't be able to easily check for contams and it will be hard to separate strong growing colonies from weak ones.
Your post is kind-of confusing. You say you used 1mL per plate but then you say you used a drop on the end of a loop... 1mL is a lot of drops on the end of a loop.
If there is no germination by 7 days, then something is probably wrong, if there is no growth by 14 days, then I'd say to toss it.
