Idk about mescaline... or if its your cup of tea, but Radiohead is great tripping music... and if you like electronica, Bassnectar is amazing... but for mescaline... Idk, perhaps some native american tribal music... im sure you could find some on youtube... and then use youtube2mp3.com to get them on your ipod.

Boards of Canada or Tycho, generally songs without words seem like they'd be best

For me, mescaline (my form was San Pedro tea) is very spiritual to me...
Because of the spiritual feeling I get from mescaline, I like to listen to spiritual music.
My favorite is Sphongle (photos in my signature), for a couple of reasons.
1) Shpongle is down-tempo psy-trance. Mescaline is part stimulate, so music with energy is good. But I like to smoke weed (highly recommended) when I drink San Pedro to *really* enhance the trip, so I like something a little slower and mellower. So, down-tempo psy-trance has best of both worlds.
2) It has real instruments. I enjoy the real sound of instruments, along with the psychedelic electronic sounds that Shpongle blends together. Something about hearing a flute or a stringed acoustic guitar that is "soothing" to a mescaline trip, at least for me.
3) Sphongle has spiritual, emotional chanting and singing from cultures all around the world. - To me, nothing else can put me into a spiritual state-of-mind than listening to indigenous chanting and being in nature while peaking on mescaline. I'd even recommended seeking out audio recordings of just indigenous spiritual chanting. If you want to feel the spiritual side of mescaline, seek out that type of music.
But, it all depends on how you wanna feel on mescaline. Your choice for "Classical" music is a *VERY* good choice. I listened to Mozart's "Fur Elise" on my first mescaline trip (If you wanna read my full trip report at Erowid.org, here it is-> http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=53627).
When I heard that song on mescaline + weed, it sounded so emotional, so beautiful, and so much more "alive" than ever before.
Another good one would be Halo music (its a video game), especially the short song on the intro screen. The songs I'm speaking of is this spiritual and trippy layered chorus of a women singing long versions of "Awwwwwwwww". So, any kind of slow, spiritual Opera chanting/singing would be a good choice in music too.
Whatever you choose, it should sound amazing to your ears. Mescaline has that kind of effect on the senses....
Also, I'd recommend some headphones that go over your ears. You can get a better "immersive" experience with that. But, if those budz is all you got, then just use that, I guess.

most enjoyable music with mescaline = The Doors
Ananda Shankar - Melodies From India (PM me if you want me to hook you up with this AMAZING instrumental album, very psychedelic and more groovy than traditional sounding)
Deadboy & the Elephantmen - If this is Hell then I'm Lucky
Syd Barrett's stuff including Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Agents of Oblivion (just about anything involving Dax Riggs actually)
I've also enjoyed the hell out of plenty of Acid Bath, hip hop like Mos Def and Wu- Tang, GZA, and tons of classical music. plenty of other music as well
but for mescaline, my highest recommendation is The Doors ... and not no "greatest hits" B.S. ...go for the real deal

here is an incredible and epic song that you pretty much haven't heard until you've heard it on a good dose of mescaline.
the opening line is actually a nod to Castaneda's story about his encounter with , to say the very least (lyrics below...read them, some of the best lyrics ever)
Otherworldly Dreamer
dancing with a black dog on papa satan's grand piano all night long, we dance the nuclear bomb all the live long night dreaming of the setting sun praying for a plague of frogs dancing with that black dog dreaming of the setting sun angel's mouth is where i sleep against the bone of her spine i weep the shade from 'neath that yonder window creep all the live long night a Roman lion at the door a pretty skull but such an angry whore a Roman lion at the door and how the mouths they cry for more, more, more all the live long night dreaming of the setting sun against my heart i hear it softly speak this seven headed otherwordly dream
and listen to this one. Closely. The true power of it is very subtle. The last portion is especially phenomenal. The tone of his voice in this performance is pure magic.
Fly on the Eye of the Lamb
in the corner sits a whispering guitar i'm listening for but i can only hear you cry we sing this music from a dream in which we die before we wake, this song that we're singing just to die"
screw it, here are more. Listen. You will thank yourself later
Tomorrow We Jump
"tomorrow we jump as all the fires go to embers and as I feel a sadness on me that the finger of death is pointing at Do you remember your soul?
as lonely as a flower in hell lost as a penny in the wishing well is there space enough in your head for heaven? baby, of course there is we're all as mad as the man in the moon who carries his heart in a brown paper bag Do you remember your soul?"
High Monster
"where the high monster fly falling up into the sky I climbed down from up in my head dressed in frostlight and spiderwebs to haunt the street where my fingers bled I climbed down from my head
I saw an aeroplane turning into a butterfy it was burning, burning, burning I climbed down from my head splashed awake with blood I was only looking at love I had no use for a soul, so far where the high monster fly"
Like the Dead Would Laugh
"we laugh like the dead would laugh tonight laughing like red death unmasked at midnight we laugh like the dead would laugh Though your soul has gone so far away from mine your mouth opens slowly, blowing smoke like time laughing like the dead would laugh tonight laughing like red death blood splashed by starlight Look up, there's a monster in the moon tonight you were born into a movie without sound but it's alright we laugh like the dead would laugh tonight...
Waking Up Insane (a personal favorite)
Scaring the ghosts away wake me when I'm sane on Mardi Gras day
the cold of death it may tear you from my breast yet I know you are the smoke that is my breath
under the sky to live is to die raven black, the night and I
Opel on the highway side as we pass out a million times this night don't seem like no sun exists that could eclipse this scaring the ghosts away wake me when I'm sane again you are the smoke that is my breath this bouquet of regret
under the sky to live is to die radiation black, the night and I
don't seem like no sun exists that could eclipse this don't seem like no sun exists that could ever eclipse it don't seem like no sun exists at all
Heart of Green (one of my all time favorite of favorites...it's long and slow so get comfortable)
I have seen shadow in the meadow and I have seen that same shadow on the bayou moving slowly through your heart of green Along your velvet belly is the cool sky you jump into the water, but the fire's inside bless this jungle floor where I sleep and I dreamed that I lost your heart of green
the dragon sleeps with the owl and the centipede and they dream of you and me along your velvet belly lies the cool sky
you jump into the water, but the fire's inside
bless this jungle floor where i sleep I dreamed that we touched your heart of green opening like wings over the horizon and they sing this to me I hear that strange melody that only you can speak to me you got that heart of green
I've known the spirit of your greener day and I have seen that shadow stretch across the meadow and I have seen that same shadow on the bayou moving slowly through your heart of green and ivy

I loveeeeeeee throwing on:
The Beatles- when I trip out. There voices are just so nice and there music is very different compared to anything else. Play Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album, Its a very good one, Even The White Album and Yellow Submarine. Then also you have to listen to some...
Pink Floyd- You wont regret it, best album in my opinion, Wish you were here and Dark Side of The Moon. Then my personal little taste which you dont have to listen to at all is...
Eminem- I can just reall concentrate on what he is saying in his lyrics when I do Psychadelics. You feel like your body is totally going with the flow of his raps.
Try it you never know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--------------------
It's is an experience you can't go on with life without knowing. Do and learn, You won't regret it.
