I just know it is the most common STD now. Men typically don't get vivible signs of infection but may still be carriers. It's inside the vagina that those things wreak havoc. I'd get tested and find out what you need to do with future partners... some strains of that stuff give women cervical cancer.

the info in that thread is solid---you may see warts growing around you're genitals...if that happens don't freak out---a doctor can burn em off rather easily---if you can't get to a dr, the remedy in that thread worked for me
So there is no way to test that you have it and almost no way to tell if you are a carrier? Wow, what a fucking lose-lose situation. Maybe tell your next girlfriend to get a vaccine?

The vaccine protects the girl from cervical cancer. She can still carry HPV.

The vaccine only protects against particular HPV sub-types. Yes, they are the ones most likely to lead to cervical cancer, but I wonder if those are the most likely to cause genital warts as well...hmmm
