Personally I used to hate them. Everybody has their personal reasons. Ive never heard of anything good coming from them (yeah yeah insert war speech here). Im talking about everyday life. I was a firm believer the world would be a better place without them. Well eventually youve got to come to the conclusion that some people are just fuckin crazy. It doesnt matter if they have a gun or not...theyll kill you with something else.
I used to think my property wasnt worth a life. If somebody wanted my stuff so bad, they would risk their freedom/safety for it...they can just have it. Material things are replaceable, your life is not. Well lately Ive noticed my opinion changing. My property may not be worth a life, but my life is. So then I raise the question "why would I think my life is more valuable than this persons". Its not about that at all. It is survival. Im not going to let people in my house to take advantage of me, do what they want, take my shit and then possibly kill me. Some little shit head bastard fuck wants to join a gang or some insanely retarded situation, and they break into my house at 4 in the morning thinking "this is a good idea". Theyve got a surprise coming.
On top of that, what if shit hits the fan tomorrow? Theres some horrible earthquake or something similar. Im not getting killed for the can of beans in my cabinet.
I think Im getting a gun.

lol, for real tho. I love having guns, and the ability to use them. I dont fuck with people violently, but it would be a really bad idea for someone to come fuck with me.
I stopped a robbery 2 months ago because i had a gun. No one got hurt, and my only other option was to run the motherfucker over with my car killing him.

I love my guns! I would not have any problem shooting someone that is trying to take my property. That is the risk they chose to take and if they don't think their life is worth more then my stereo why should I?

Couldnt have said it better myself. They put themselves in the situation, not me. I was at the pawn shop the other day and saw a 9mm with a little foam case for $120. After looking around it seems like a great buy for the amount.
On the other hand drugs in your house + guns in your house = big felonies

Guns are great because they're better then mass bloodshed via a sword and not as bad as chemicals. They're the perfect killing machine!

I stole a few car stereos in my younger days. I guarentee I wasn't thinking "I might get shot, but it's worth getting this stereo for." Now I'm married, with a college education, have a cute kid, and a job that promotes community education. Would you have shot me back then? I have no problem with guns. In the hands of morons, psychos and pigs maybe they are a danger. But the benefits outweigh the negatives. I like to hunt, and i think I'll have a hand gun for my protection someday.

i won't kill you for stealing my car stereo.
i WILL kill you for coming in my house uninvited. then i have NO idea what you are doing, and have to assume the worst. i have no place to run to - you are already in my fucking house!
so i will do what any creature, be it a lion or a kitten, does when backed into a corner - i will bite. .40 caliber brass jacketed bites.
i will also then call you an ambulance, and after making sure you don't have any weapons left, attempt to perform first aid. (my field medicine rocks, you really might live.)
but the easiest way to go home and sleep in bed tonite is to not be breaking into ppl's houses. especially not in fucking Texas. grandmothers carry in public here without a thought, and we approve.
sorry, but there is one sin the universe never allows to go unpunished: blatant stupidity. . .it's evolution in action. Darwinian selection against poor judgement....
and yeah i did dumb stuff. i rolled a 20 on my luck and they had a misfire. after that i changed my habits.

I have many guns, it's our right under the Constitution however I believe that it's much too easy for the worst and most deviate within our populace to obtain them.
These people who only care about the Almighty dollar hide behind the rights given to us under a document drafted when things were very different that they are today.
I have much more to say but I hate typing when I'm not drinking heavily!
