I've been looking at the weather lately, and it seems pretty good and warm for fruiting. I will admit it is a little to wet in my area, but the temp. are pretty good, and the Low's aren't in the freezing zone, which is weird for winter.
-> Check out the Temp/Rain history photo I took today online...
^^^Are these good temps. and raining amount? Seems like in Portland or even at the coast, there should be better weather. Is it just not sunny enough to get rid of the excess rain collection.
I know San Fran. has their own Winter 2009-2010 finds thread, what about the Pacific NW.
Is the season really over everywhere in the Northern West?

Don’t just keep ones head down and ones pace steady, look behind to make sure there’s no trail of destruction. Consider that the things below ones feet in physicality, are actually above ones head in importance. Remember that we are not the only ones alive, and are definitely not depended upon to continue living. We are an expendable creature in the eyes of the earth. Thus, we must treat ourselves like we are guests. Accommodations must be made for life all over the planet. The power of life is incredibly diverse, intelligent, and intricate in its adaptability. Lets not give nature a reason to consume us in turn.

I live just Outside of Portland, in Vancouver, Wa... Its starting to pick up again after that snow last week... All in all though Ive seen at least 12 diffrent species over the last few days ( Nothing active though) on my stoney walks..
Most have been the tree species that we know all to well in the winter here. But I have seen some ground dwelling mushrooms starting to pop up aswell. I plan on taking my camera with me next time, now that ive been seeing alot more mushroom activity. That mega cold weather last month really messed things up though for actives...lol

We had a very harsh frost in early December. It's over until next fall, at least for cyans. If you are in Oregon you can try to find subaeruginascens in early spring.
