 Who thinks Mescaline is Similar To Acid?

I do, after several trips recently chewing cactus flesh. However, one difference I note is that on mescaline I 'trance out' close my eyes and go into these mind trips where I am getting great CEV's off of music....on acid, i guess I could do the same, but on acid im much more stimulated and cant stay still. That is, mescaline is dreamy, acid is speedy, but the visuals and trip feeling is the same. Even get some looping and mind-fuck from a good dose of mesc.

I think mescaline and acid are more similar than mescaline and shrooms.

I think they're pretty similar. Acid is a little faster, jumpier thoughts. I haven't had intense transcendent experiences on mescaline like I have on acid (which will probably make all the difference), but as far as I can tell, mescaline seems to be gentler with my mind. Visually, I think I get a lot more warped and distorted cubism like things with mescaline and more patterns with LSD, and in general, the LSD things move more, faster, and are more detailed. Then again, I saw lots of patterns on mescaline and lots of everything on LSD. I think they're as similar or as different as you want them to be.

Yeh I'd agree with that, they are definitely more similar than most other psychedelics are to each other but they still have there differences. Mescaline is definitely more dreamy and sweeps over you, acid is more in your face.

I dunno dude. I've been dosing in the 350-750 mg range (4-5 trips, average dose of 500mg or so) and I haven't experienced *anything* like LSD.
I can see where people would draw that comparison. It's certainly like being high on *something*, and between Acid, shrooms, cigarettes, and weed I would say that mescaline is closest to LSD, but that's as far as I'd go.
The experience lacks the energy and motivation present in the LSD experience. I want to sit down and I want to fix my problems. I want to think about what I've been doing and what I'm doing and what I'm going to do. I do not want to be a rockstar. I do not want to play around on guitar or think about the platitude of subjects in the world or even study with newfound fervor.
LSD is for me an amplification tool. LSD amplifies emotions, sensations, thoughts, etc. Mescaline lacks this quality. Maybe I'm thinking a *little* faster and maybe I'm more sensitive to touch, but mescaline is something altogether different. It feels like its purpose is that of healer, like it's not intended for "getting high" per se. I do not feel like LSD has this restriction attached to it.

Man, i dont think you did enough mescaline. It amplifies the shit out of my emotions. Right now, I am 1.5 hours into 20 inches of Bridgesii cactus and my ego is fucking dying. I think I did too much, Im tripping out of my little fucking mind.

And yet you're still capable of writing a perfectly punctuated sentence. Let me dose you into the "ego death" range on acid or shrooms and lets see if that same ability remains.
I feel like mescaline opens doors and allows me to do more rather than than it affecting *me* proper.

Ive done 900ug of acid, yes, there is not comparison. Maybe what you are saying is that with mescaline, you have great clarity of mind.

Haha good stuff man... yeh it amplifies the shit out of my emotions too, it's beautiful though, hows your world looking right now?
If things are getting that intense after 1.5 hours I think your in for quite a ride, enjoy it.

Right now, Im coming up in waves of euphoria mixed with straightness. And everything looks like it has a shiny piece of glass laid over it. It feels great, and music is really helping to calm my nerves. If there is any downside, it is that I have to crap every 10 seconds.

I think a heavy dose of mescaline, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT are all nearly identical in terms of effects.
