if the tabs are bitter, it is possible they are an rc
just eat the tabs and have fun
if it turns out to be an rc

The marquis reagent will turn olive black with LSD, supposedly. Although I'm sure waiting on it to arrive would be quite trying on one's patience.

How many research chemicals are active at a small enough dose comparable to LSD?
Theres not that big of a chance of getting anything else is there?
Especially if its a microdot.
I'm not gonna claim to be an expert on this though...

Yeah i wonder about RCS that are active in that range also... how many could there be......
... ive def. noticed taking DOI,DOB ect. unintentionally in the past thinking it was lsd then to find out it wasnt at all
... i also wonder about the purity of the lsd and the effect it has on the trip
Ive noticed how varried the lsd effects can be depending on how clean the acid is. I realize there are differences in purity when it comes to lsd (silver,amber,lavender,ect.) But what i really wonder about is the effect that the impurities can have on the trip. I wonder about these "leftovers" in the lsd. It seems that they can GREATLY impact the effects.
Thats not to mention what the lsd has gone through before it reaches my tounge. such as variations in temp., storing techniques, adverse reactions to different containers, and so on ... my knowledge of chemistry is very limited but i realize lsd is not a very stable compound and wonder about the role these factors could play in the end.

It is unlikely impurities affect the trip. In order for impurities to affect the trip, they would have to be at least as potent and probably more potent than LSD. LSD is an incredibly potent drug. One of the most potent known. It is extremely unlikely that the minuscule amounts of other chemicals in LSD can have an impact of the trip.

I think LSD does have a taste. Its very subtle, but to say it has "absolutely no taste" would be a lie imo. I never had an RC to compare taste, but LSD tastes "funky" imo.

I've had bomb acid that had no taste whatsoever other than paper, it was white on white.

New to the forums, but not to the site . Thought I'd give my say on this old issue if you don't mind, simply because I found myself reading old posts like this all the time before I joined as a community member.
Like the posts before me, important factors are :
A) Come up time .... You should start to have that eerie feeling creep up on you in <60min
B) Dose medium .... Although its not a guarantee, buying doses on blotter paper can somewhat help narrow the chance of it being research chemicals. That being said, DOB (2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromoamphetamine) can easily fit onto the typical 1mg size blotter , as well as scopolamine and other chemicals . Here's full list of possible adulterants on a typical blotter (just to worry you =P ) :

ps. Erowid has also reported alprazolam laced blotter (brand name Xanax) .
Mind you, its unlikely you'll find nicotine or fentanyl and a lot of those substances on blotter, its still something to be aware of because they are active at such low doses.
C) Know your source, and ask questions about the dose you're receiving . If the dealer says "this is good acid, but the batch is a little different then usual" or if they haven't tried it themselves, take notice and make an informed decision .

I'm sorry to have to give you all the possibilities of something going wrong, but acid doesn't have the same integrity that it used to . Forty years ago it was needlepoint LSD, very little impurities, and rarely a psychedelic substitute. Now, "acid" can mean "any crazy chemicals you'll trip out on" , and that's a sad thing, because LSD-25 can be wonderful and a meaningful entheogen , whereas DOB and others just play with your brain chemistry (and can actually cause acute physical harm in high doses) .
Take a single blotter your first time, that way if its adulterated you won't be really badly turned away and terrified after a high dose nightmare version of what could have be a really great thing =)

Are LSD doses still 1/4 inch? I've read that RC's will be put on paper that is bigger and also thicker. LSD was almost always on thin paper when I bought it (10 years ago) and 1/4 inch doses.

A good giveaway that it's acid, is you might start giggling a lot on the come up, and it should start hittin' you around the 45min to 1 hr mark. Shouldn't last more than 12 hours.
