Background information: I've only dropped acid once before and only one hit at another festival about 2 months prior to my second experience. I also dropped it when i had been rolling ( off of 2 e pills, and a lick of molly, much opium smoked, along with marijuana.) That experience was great, but it drained me completely the next day and had a case of the mushbrain.) It was nothing too profound though, just some brightness of colors and outlining of shapes. I really wanted to grasp the feelings that everyone else on this forum, and others, were talking about. I made the decision to dose again with 3 other friends at another music festival in the Midwest.
NOTE: would it be proper if I addressed the festival by name? Or is it looked down upon?
Intro: It was a very HOT and humid day and a group of us, comprised of seven, ventured out to the festival. I was so excited that day to catch all great acts that would be performing! It was my goal to find lucy and experience her in all her glory.
We got to the festival around 12. Once inside, we first checked out all the stages. I wasn't too worried about missing out on any performer. A few hours passed and my friends R, A, and C were all on the hunt for sweet 'ol lucy. We asked everyoneeee we could. We saw many people make exchanges blatantly, but when we approached the supposed sellers they would all just shrug it off and say NO. We were really at our wits end by this time. It was almost 4:30. Then, my friend R said to let him take a shot. He zeroed in on a man in very baggy redish orange clothing from head to toe. Well equipped with dreadlocks and a wristband from the previous festival I had attended and dropped at. R asked him if he had any acid, he replied, "acid? Yeah I got some, follow me." Bingo! 1/1 for my friend R! He took us around some utility building and pulled out 4 vials from under his clothing. That's when I saw all that 'cid. All unperfed WoW ticked off with seemed like pen ink. He had what seemed like at least 20 ten strips in each vial. I along with friend R and A bought 2 hits for $20 each. R asked how much a ten strip was and the man said 80 bucks. I was reluctant to buy more because I wasn't quite sure if the lsd was legit. Little did I know that was a big mistake. Friend C was uneasy about tripping out, and was his first time with any psychedelic. I recommend he take only one and see how he felt. Friend R quickly gobbled up the 2 hits. He then turned to me, still with my 2 hits, and asked, are you gonna take both your hits? 'Cuz I already did and I really hope you do. At first i felt uneasy...What if this was some research chem like DO* and I would be tripping for almost a day?! I felt obliged though, R was one of my best friends and I surely wasn't going to be the sole reason he had a bad trip. I popped the two tiny strips into my mouth and soon A and C followed.The hits were completely tasteless. We all kept the hits under our tongue for about 10 minutes and then swallowed. This took place around 4:30.
T-30: All of us crowded around a stage where one of the more popular acts were taking place. I felt like I was being suffocated by the mass amounts of people crowding me, we were all shoulder to shoulder. Barely anyone could move. Friend A seems to be pissed. I ask him what's wrong. He tells me he thinks the LSD we bought was bunk. I, being somewhat informed about LSD reassure him that it'll hit us around 45 minutes to an hour. He still wanted to buy more but I kept him under control.
T-40: Friend R starts laughing hysterically at... everything.. haha! His laugh is infectious and i start to laugh right along with him. It's like my body needed to laugh, and it sure did feel good. I looked to friend A and told him that I'm definitely feeling something. As friend R and I laugh our asses off, i stare down into the ground. It starts to morph and swirl in a pattern. LOOK! I said to friend A and R, look at the ground! Friend A stares past me and says he doesn't want to talk about it. This is where my adventure begins...
T-1:00: We leave the crowded crowd and head to the electro stage. I have the urge to get loose as a goose and start dancing. This is where my trip starts increase, not just visually, but through my sense of sound as well. I was dancing along with everyone else, the dj was amazing.. he kept spinnin' the track higher and higher while everyone was anticipating for the bass drop, but just when you thought he was gonna drop it he kept going! I felt one with the music and I was nearly 2 feet away from the pounding speakers, loving every minute of it. This is where I sort of got weirded out. I looked at my friend R as he wanted to talk to me. His facial features such as his eyes and mouth were morphing and kind of being pulled down and every which way. This kind of freaked me out, so instead i just looked up into the trees. The trees we're spinning and swirling in and out. What a display I thought. During the dj's set my friend R and A both bought hits of ecstacy. Buying any other drug was no where on my mind at this point.. and I really wanted to see what lsd itself had to offer without the interference of any other substances. Nearing the end of the show I was just gettin' my dance on, then suddenly i was struck with something. I totally stopped and around 5 or 6 people around me stopped as well with the "wtf just happened?" mentality. I was somewhat pissed.. I look down and i see a pair of clear speedo googles. I pick them up and put them on and start dancing again, everyone else follows suit.
T-2:00: At the end of the Dj's set i am thoroughly tired. I don't think i've sweated that much in my entire life. My friends R and A leave to go meet up with their drunk girlfriends ( later noted; that this wasn't very enjoyable for the both of them, they had to tend to them while tripping on acid/e). My other 2 girl friends, let's name them N and E, along with friend C and another friend not mentioned earlier, we'll call him M, all head outside of the electro stage and take a breather. Friend N is just drinking, E is tripping on a light dose of mushrooms, C is on 1 hit of acid, and friend M is on 3 hits of e. We take a few pictures and proceed to find somewhere to sit. On the way through the festival we intersect a street that ventures into the city. I Stop and notice that is in fact a street and stop before sitting foot on it. My friends look back at me. I look up and down the street and notice it's gated off for the festival. By this time nothing in my visual sight is colored or perceived the same. The ground was a kaleidoscope of colors and trees and such were melting around me. We sit down on two empty benches. I admire the scenery, everything is vibrantly colored and beautiful. I suddenly think to myself, "What if this is how i perceive things for the rest of my life?! I started to panic quickly, but then reassure myself that I just ingested some lsd and that the effects will be wearing off soon to come. My friend M is in a deep conversation with a lady to the right of our bench about life. I suddenly noticed i hadn't eaten or drank anything in awhile. This also freaked me out and sent me into panic mode. I could barely formulate sentences, maybe because of the complete transformation of the world around me. I look down at my arms and hands. I can see the blood pumping its way through all of my veins. This was most definitely the peak of my trip. I glance down at my pants and notice that they're wet. Had I pissed myself?! I must have! I quickly tell friend M and C in my dismay. They quickly reassure me that it isn't a problem and that I go to the bathroom and clean myself up. I'm totally appalled at this point, how could I have pissed myself without knowing? How did I even have to pee? I hadn't barely drank anything. Bah! I thought to myself, of course I didn't piss myself it was water from earlier at the electro stage that i poured all over myself. I felt so stupid. I told both my friends the ordeal and they laughed it off. I couldn't really formulate concrete sentences at this point and repeated most everything.. I was like a child.. I was still a little paranoid about not eating anything for awhile so my friend N bought me a slice of pizza from a vendor. Let me tell you, nothing has entered my mouth as foul or disgusting in my entire life! The combination of the textures of the pizza along with the grease was atrocious! I barely nibbled on it and gave it to friend C.
T-3:00: From that point on my memory is somewhat blurry. I just remember from eating the pizza to going back to the electro stage where on of my favorite performers was taking stage. The sun had just gone down and we were greeted by an immaculate display of lights from the stage. The crowd was HUGE! Not to mention that the stage itself was very small compared the rest of the stages where the headliners played. We are no longer with our friend M, he had gone off to venture by himself. I was with C,N, and E. We made it into the outskirts of the crowd and that was a chore. Friends N and E pushed into the crowd. I myself couldn't handle all the people and we stayed put against the railing. Bad idea. C and I were constantly being pushed in and out of the railings by ecstatic people in the crowd. Not to mention there was little footing near the rail, it was somewhat surrounded by a mud puddle. You know, the ones where every avoids and most crowds move around to get to other locations? Yea those kind. The light show was awesome. They had lights pointed at different parts of the trees into the night sky that kept turning on and off every 15 seconds. The trees looked so trippy when illuminated by the light. I kept asking friend C if he wanted to leave. He kept asking me the same thing. We went back and forth for awhile and then decided it best we left. Friends N and E soon followed.
T-4:00: We leave the electro stage. Friend N and E are thoroughly dissapointed. I reassured them that they didn't have to follow us, I just wasn't feeling the music nor environment. We started heading to the headlining stage. Where one of my favorite bands were performing. On the way there we spot friend M, talking to some dude about weed. This was by mere chance that we found him! He told us the next day that he was heading to the same place we were, but a guy stopped him and asked him if he wanted to buy some weed. He knew he didn't have money but, thought I like weed, maybe something good will come from this. Nearly a minute later we found him. He said it was like fate. Once we all got back together we headed to the main stage, where Tool was playing. I was still tripping, but my trip was definitely nearing it's end. We sat down far from the front of the stage, that was fine with me though, I was kinda tired and in no mood to mosh. I looked at the skyscrapers. The tops of them were swaying, made up of different colors, and the moon looked gigantic! About 45 minutes passed and we got up and left the festival. The city was so weird. I felt as though i just left a jungle and the city was completely opposite of where I thought we were heading.
T-5:00: We hopped onto a train. I was barely tripping by now, but some the things around me were tracing and moving. It was an awkward train ride home. My friends and I didn't say much of anything on the way back to our destination. Which took us about an hour to get to.
T-6:00: I'm done tripping visually, still feel an after glow. I Stay up for another 3 hours and then fall asleep with ease. Wake up the next morning feeling great and completely ache free!

I would highly suggest going to Rothbury. It's very much less commercialized than Bonnaroo, lollapalooza. Although I can't say that i've been to Bonnaroo, only to lolla. That just seems to be the consensus. Rothbury has great people, great music, and great drugs :P

rothbury is the DD titties. i've been to a ton of festivals, and the 'bury is where it's at. best music, best venue, best people, best everything. i'm hearing phish and furthur next year, if so, that shit will be totally out of control.

The last time I had acid was at a electro/hip hop festival.
I didn't really enjoy it in that environment. Too many people and not enough shade to get out of the sun.
Don't think I'd do it again.

Yea i know..me neither. Like I said I'd only consumed lsd once prior to this trip, 1 hit and just my visual perspective on everything was brighter/sharpened. On these 2 hits at my peak which was around an hour I was tripping pretty hard, well at least in my experience. The ground was a plethora of colors, the masses of people and my friends alike, faces were all morphing, tops of skyscrapers wavin' around in the sky. It was nuts.

great report, although in my experience i think when taking acid at a festival or for dancing that it almost goes without saying you take E as well, acid+e at festivals is fucking amazing, plus it keeps your head clear and free of worries from crowded dancefloors and heavy crowds, just make sure you keep those fluids up.

Who am I to judge? However, you seem to be quite interested in mixing yourself some "cocktails." By that I mean you like taking various drugs at once.
However, hearing reports like this disappoints me a little. I tend to equate pschedelics with something sacred, something to ingest with sincerity and maturity.
Reports like this just seem like a frivolous attempt to get wasted at a party.
Feel free to disagree with me. (I know I don't speak for everyone.)

If you were to have read the trip report, I had only ingested LSD in this instance. There are always going to be people who use drugs recreationally for "the fun of it" or for the spiritual aspect of it. I myself have used many drugs for the fun of them, but don't get me wrong I too want to experience a major life changing experience through the use of psychedelics. That time hasn't come for me, yet. Also, psychedelics have opened my mind up to perceiving things differently in the world. Also, my psychedelics use has helped me stop drinking so much. I realized that whenever I drink, I make a lot of bad decisions ( i'm sure this goes for a lot of people). I don't abuse psychedelics drugs either. I have tripped on LSD only twice, mushrooms probably 5 or 6 times. I'm 20 years old and all my drug use has taken place since the age of 18 up until now, except for smoking weed . But like you said, who are you to judge? People take drugs for all types of different reasons, why should you criticize the users for trying to have "fun"?
-As for the drug "cocktails". What's your quell with that? The only drug I'd combine with the use of LSD would be marijuana and or mdma. Mdma just puts me in a great mindset, making it harder for LSD to put me into nasty mental thought loops, kind of like what happened in my trip report. Please respond, I'd like to hear what you have to say.
