does anyone else use TOOL while tripping? they're called TOOL for a reason... different albums have different functions, and each album alone is so multi-dimensional that they always show me something new. and the eye trick that 10,000 Days taught me... does anyone else know about this? i can go into more detail about my experiences with this, but i am really curious to find others that know what i'm talking about.

i listen to TOOL every time i trip and it has changed and saved my life in so many ways. and go to their next show trippin! i've seen them 7 times, twice on LSD, and the last time was 12/11/07 on LSD and i started to expect the roof of the arena to open up and blast us all into another dimension. the feeling i had afterwards i describe as being de-gaussed (it's a function that shakes all the static off of the tubes in the monitor or tv screen).
all of TOOL's albums are perfect for tripping. i'm wondering why nobody mentions 10,000 Days? omg, i can't even explain what that album does when i'm on mushrooms. it's a guide to another dimension, but so much more. maybe you're too young, as 10,000 days is about 27 years, 4 and one half months. try it with a partner, when ur trippin, put on 10,000 Days and sit and gaze thru each others' eyes... like the lenses on the cd cover. the instructions are in the music! just listen.
Lateralus is a 7 part spectral meditation tool, a tool for self-realization, self-improvement, etc., etc. it helped get me off drugs. it energizes and rejuvenates and aligns the chakras.
and the videos... have you noticed that they are not the same each time u watch them? their art is a living entity that we are all consciously co-creating, and it is very much linked with the realm of psychedelics.

ok, so, like how you have to look a certain way thru the lenses to get the 3D images? you do this with a partner, you sit facing each other and each eye looks directly into the one in front of it, i.e. your left into her/his right and vice versa. like ur not just looking at one eye, each eye is looking at a separate eye. it's hard to do. then you let your eyes relax and go out of focus (?) and gaze 'through' each others' eyes... it opens up a WHOLE other realm of visions.

i guess u can use a mirror, too, with yourself. i did this for the first time recently, but it was a weak trip and the mirror was shitty and kinda blurry and scratched.
but when i've done it with my ex, even on trips that were not at all visual, when we'd start to do the eye gazing thing, we'd start seeing all kinds of crazy shit. like, your spirit, and all it's parts show themselves; your light, your demons. other entities will take the place of your partner's face, so many things i've never seen before we started doing this

it's a guide to a higher dimension. you start by watching each other die, it's really gruesome, but you overcome that, then with 'the pot' you see yourself, and overcome that, then 'rosetta stoned' just transports u into the DMT realm, but they're just distractions, then you get to the main point, 'Intension' where the Love created thru pure intention is then used to create Unity Consciousness, which will (hopefully) overcome the prophesies of 'Right in Two.' it's hard to explain. if i was on mushrooms i'd probably find better words to explain. but PLEASE try it if you ever can. it's VERY important to Our Collective Future

just to clarify, you don't use the lenses when doing this, that's just what showed me how to do this with another person's eyes

thank you. please do. it changed my entire perception of reality, the universe, the spirit realm... everything. i've done it with psilocybin and LSD; i prefer the mushrooms, but that's just me, it works with both. even a few times on MDMA as well, but in a totally different perspective.

Hey, I'm a massive tool fan. I don't listen to them as much as I used to, but I still listen to them regularly.
I've really enjoyed listening to their music while tripping, and while sober. My last LSD trip however, their music was just too much for me. It was also too dark, too much. I just had to stop listening and sit down in bed for a while.

I listen to their softer songs, Reflection, Intension, etc... Very choosey about Tool while tripping  Sometimes Third Eye

Has anyone listened to lateralus album in the Fibonacci sequence?
Album playlist order is: 6, 7, 5, 8, 4, 9, 13, 1, 12, 2, 11, 3, 10
It's amazing how much better the flow of the album is in this play order. There is apparently other orders people like, just google lateralus and Fibonacci for potential other playlists.
