Remember that scene in Fargo with the Wood Chipper?
    #11514126 - 11/23/09 09:49 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Well, it happened in real life by accident a few miles away.

Poquoson boy killed in woodchipper was working for guardian's company
Quote:

POQUOSON - A 14-year-old Poquoson boy killed Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a commercial wood chipper was clearing storm debris while working for a man who, with his wife, had taken the high school freshman into their home after the death of his parents.

About noon today, Poquoson Police Chief Cliff Bowen identified the boy as Frank Anthony Gornick, of Smith Street, in Poquoson. Gornick died "instantly" during the incident on Wagner Road, which occurred about 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Bowen said.

Bowen said he was unsure how long Gornick had lived in Poquoson but he confirmed that both of the boy's parents have died. At time of the incident, Gornick was living with the family of Old Dominion Tree and Lawn Care owner Robert "Bobby" Strickland.

When the accident occurred, Gornick was on an Old Dominion job, along with two other workers, ages 23 and 38, removing debris and cutting limbs, Bowen said.

A message left for Strickland was not immediately returned Monday.

On Sunday, Gornick had been gathering debris in piles and feeding them into a wood chipper attached to a truck. Gornick is believed to have used a shovel to push debris into the chipper when he was "pulled in completely," Bowen said....

If it weren't for the bloody corpses, I wouldn't have any corpses at all.

There are two ways to get to the top of an oak tree: start climbing or sit on an acorn.

Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?

That's absolutely horrifying. Fargo is such a good movie though.

I would take a bullet for Steve Buscemi.

Just to make people feel better than it wasn't a prolonged struggle.

Think about it, head first through a wood chipper.  That sounds pretty instant.

head first? he was shoving stuff into a chipper, the first thing to get
caught is the hand, then the arm, shoulder then the neck and head
